The spring wind turned the poplar trees around the eastern clearing of Wushan Town green. On the clearing, a group of teenagers were training with fiery enthusiasm. A year and a half had passed since the last check for Dragon Blood Warrior lineage in their bodies. Lin Lei was now eight years old. Over this year and a half, Hillman had clearly noticed that Lin Lei was training with even greater dedication!

"Very good, Lin Lei, keep it up, keep it up!" Hillman said from the side.

Lin Lei was currently wearing only trousers, his bare torso slick with sweat. He was plank-like on the ground, his hands pressing into the earth like the gnarled roots of an old tree, his entire body motionless, supported only by his hands and the tips of his feet. Every muscle was tense!

Static tension training!

It was a simple yet highly effective exercise. If one could maintain this state for an hour, the body could withstand ordinary blades and swords.

"Drip!"

Sweat slid from his forehead along the edge of his eye socket. Lin Lei felt his right eye sting and couldn't help but squint it shut.

"Lei's really something, only eight years old and his static tension training is already on par with thirteen or fourteen-year-olds," some of the children who had already given up whispered to each other, watching Lin Lei.

"Lei, keep going! Do it for us, beat those older kids!" the blond Hadley cheered from the side.

"Go, Lei!" the other children joined in.

Lin Lei had a very good relationship with the other teenagers. Though he was technically a young noble, he treated the commoner children very well, often helping them with their training.

"Just a little longer, just a little longer," Lin Lei kept telling himself.

And in his mind, he heard his father's words from a year ago: "Lin Lei, we are the Dragon Blood Warrior family. As a member of the Dragon Blood Warrior family, you have advantages and disadvantages! The advantage is, even if the concentration of dragon blood lineage in your body isn't enough for you to become a Dragon Blood Warrior, your body is still far better than ordinary people's. It might be very difficult for others to train to become a sixth-level warrior using only physical training, but for you, it will be somewhat easier."

"But, you also have a disadvantage. The disadvantage is... the children of the Dragon Blood Warrior family cannot cultivate using the Dou Qi Scripture. Because the dragon blood lineage in your body is only compatible with the 'Dragon Blood Scripture' and resists all other Dou Qi scriptures. But the 'Dragon Blood Scripture' can only be cultivated once the dragon blood lineage concentration reaches a certain level, so you cannot cultivate battle qi."

"Furthermore, for ordinary people, purely training the body can theoretically reach the sixth level of warrior. But that's only theory; in reality, such individuals are exceedingly rare. However, we are different. Even if the dragon blood lineage in our bodies is sparse, it still gives us a head start. By purely training our bodies, we can cultivate to the sixth level. Your great-grandfather even reached the seventh level purely through physical training."

Lin Lei remembered his father's words clearly.

Lin Lei roared inwardly: "I'm stronger than others now because of the dragon blood lineage in my body. But I can't cultivate battle qi, so I have to work hard, harder! If great-grandfather could reach the seventh level with physical training alone, then I... have the potential to become an eighth-level, or even a ninth-level warrior. Nothing is impossible."

An eighth-level warrior!

A ninth-level warrior could be considered the strongest in the entire Fenlei Kingdom. Becoming an eighth-level warrior, even if he couldn't restore his family's glory from five thousand years ago, would vastly improve the family's circumstances.

"Hold on!" Lin Lei gritted his teeth.

At this moment, his arms felt as if countless ants were gnawing on them, his entire body trembled continuously, every muscle in every part of his body shaking. The intensity of each muscle's tremor was vividly clear.

After a long time, finally—

"Thump!"

Lin Lei's body went limp and collapsed onto the ground.

"So comfortable." Lying flat, his entire body relaxed, Lin Lei could clearly feel the tingling and itching sensation all over. The muscles, after their strenuous exercise, began their slow process of growth. This growth wasn't noticeable after one or two sessions, but over time, the progress of the body would become very apparent.

Hillman, standing nearby, nodded with satisfaction.

Then, Hillman looked over at the group of fourteen or fifteen-year-old youths, his expression turning stern. "All of you, keep it up! Lin Lei is only eight, and you're all almost adults. Don't let an eight-year-old outdo you."

******

Morning training ended. After bidding farewell to his friends, Lin Lei returned as usual to the Baruch Family mansion. At only eight years old, if someone unfamiliar saw him, they would certainly mistake him for an eleven or twelve-year-old youth, not an eight-year-old child.

The children of the Baruch Family were indeed different from ordinary people.

"Brother!" The chubby-cheeked, tigrous-looking Wotton saw Lin Lei and immediately rushed over.

"Alright, Wotton, I'm all sweaty. Let me rinse off first," Lin Lei said with a smile, pinching Wotton's little cheek.
