With a single command, numerous sixth-level beings bowed their heads! The terror of the power of Rules was truly staggering!

"Using the Rule of , as long as I spend a little time, controlling these Gluttony Beast packs wouldn't be too troublesome. What a pity…"

Leilin looked at the massive eyes of the Gluttony Beasts and shook his head.

"I can't very well take them back to the World. Besides, what I truly rely on is the Rule of Devouring, which is incompatible with these Gluttony Beasts. Most importantly, the source of their power is still Belusebabu's gluttony force — the root has grown crooked, and no amount of correction will help!"

"Perish! Innate Rule — Devouring!"

An enormous demonic wyvern materialized behind Leilin's back, spanning the horizon. A terrifying black hole instantly formed.

Countless Gluttony Beasts wailed, but it was as though invisible, colossal forces had seized them — they couldn't move a muscle, forced to watch themselves vanish into that black hole.

"No! I am the Second Elder of the Stewart Family! I was destined to break through the shackles of my bloodline and lead my family to glory! Why… why is this happening?"

A massive three-headed serpent, though it had sensed something wrong the moment the black hole appeared and began to flee desperately, still couldn't escape the fate of being devoured.

Along with its indignant roar, its voice gradually faded into the black hole.

The invisible pulling force continued to spread across the prairie. Enormous numbers of Gluttony Beasts, regardless of rank, were all wailing as they were cast into the black hole.

A few minutes later, the Gluttony Beasts surrounding the had been completely cleared out.

"I'm starting to feel a bit stuffed!"

Leilin patted his stomach, feeling somewhat speechless. After devouring so many Gluttony Beasts, he felt a small surge of warmth spread throughout his entire body before vanishing.

At that moment, the Chip's notification also came through: [Ding! Sixth-level Innate Talent — Devouring Force backlash! Host has absorbed trace essence! Strength +0.001! Constitution +0.002!]

"Since reaching the half-seventh level, energy below the Rule level is basically useless to me!"

Leilin shook his head.

Now that he had essentially mastered the Rule of Devouring, his body had become a Law Body, incomparable to before.

The essence of all the Gluttony Beasts across the entire Serpent Plains was nothing more than a tiny supplement to him.

" to leave!"

Leilin's gaze swept across the Holy City. Because he had deliberately let them go earlier, the Devouring Force hadn't absorbed a single resident of the Holy City. The serpent folk within it were all staring blankly in Leilin's direction. Especially the enormous Taglian Wyvern — it had nearly lost the ability to speak.

"What just happened? I saw the Holy Mother appear, and then everything seemed to freeze. And then why did *that* appear?"

stared dumbfounded at the demonic wyvern's silhouette. "Why… why does what that thing gives me feel almost familiar? Could it be the power of the Holy Mother's secret treasure?"

"I found you!" A gentle voice sounded in Belinda's ear, and then she felt her entire body go light, as though someone had lifted her. The scenery before her eyes shifted instantly.

By the time she came back to her senses, she was already outside the Holy City.

"Sister!" An exclamation of joy rang out as threw herself into Belinda's arms, tears streaming down her cheeks — she had clearly been terrified before.

"Good girl, Sophia." Belinda patted Sophia's back, and also caught sight of Agnes, who looked somewhat dazed and forlorn.

Of course, what drew her attention most was the figure standing nearby, clad in a black robe, radiating an aura like a deity.

Pitch-black hair, eyes like the depths of night, the unfamiliar yet impossibly young face of a being who seemed an incarnation of the divine — everything about him was flawless. Yet Belinda felt an indescribable sense of familiarity.

"Belinda! Sophia! And Agnes! We meet again! Allow me to reintroduce myself — I am Leilin Farell! The 'Nick' before was merely an alias!"

Leilin looked at the three serpent women before him, each with a distinctly different style, and smiled faintly as he delivered words that made their expressions change dramatically.

Using the power of Rules to instantly search the entire city and pull Belinda and the other two over — for Leilin, it was the work of a moment.

"You're… Nick?"

Belinda's mouth hung half open, her expression vacant.

No matter how she tried, she simply couldn't connect the man before her — who had just annihilated huge numbers of Gluttony Beasts with a wave of his hand — with that Nick.

Moreover, the previous Nick had platinum-white long hair, scarlet pupils, and numerous wrinkles of age. In no way could he be associated with the being standing before her now.

No! If she set all that aside, there *was* a similarity in the shape of his face!

Belinda's pupils contracted as she finally understood where her earlier sense of familiarity had come from.

"So, should I call you Brother Nick from now on? Or Brother Leilin?" Sophia bit her finger, looking genuinely troubled.

"Whichever you prefer, of course. But personally, I rather prefer 'Leilin'!"

"Leilin Farell! The wanted Wizard! The one cursed by the Holy Mother!"

Agnes recited Leilin's dossier with a completely expressionless face.

"You have some nerve! You used our Stewart Family! Where is the Holy Mother?" Though Agnes's face betrayed no emotion, her heart was gradually sinking.

First, the Second Elder's betrayal had caused a massive failure of duty for the Stewart Family. Then Leilin's appearance — he had used the Stewart Family's protection as cover, dealing this devastating blow.

After this catastrophe, would the Stewart Family even have a chance to rebuild?

Likely, the enraged Mother of Ten Thousand Serpents would consider it merciful if she merely destroyed the entire clan rather than annihilating every last trace!

"The great Mother of Ten Thousand Serpens is perfectly fine — she has merely departed for the time being!" Leilin's smile was subtle, and then he turned to Belinda. "Well? Have you accepted it?"

"You were… using me the entire time? And now that you've achieved your goals, why bother bringing me along?"

Belinda rose to her feet, a ashen look of death in her eyes.

"I won't deny that!"

Leilin nodded, and then saw Belinda sway on her feet.

"Then why do this?" Belinda's eyes held an indescribable complexity, utterly unfathomable.

"Obviously, to take you with me!" Leilin said with a smile.

"Take us with me?" Belinda could never have expected that answer.

"Where are we going? Is it fun?" Sophia's eyes lit up with little stars, clearly her priorities were quite different from everyone else's.

"Impossible. I must stay — the family needs me!" That was Agnes's response.

"I'm afraid that isn't your choice to make!"

Leilin spoke with perfect calm, and then Belinda and Agnes were horrified to discover that they had instantly lost all their strength.

Whether it was elemental affinity, bloodline power, or even the power of the Priests — everything had fallen silent, and not a scrap could be mobilized.

"You may hate me, Belinda — but you must still obey my will! Come with me out of this world!"

Leilin's voice was tranquil, yet carried an irresistible compulsion.

"My actions here… well, how should I put it? I've thoroughly offended the Mother of Ten Thousand Serpents. I'm not afraid of her myself, but she could very well take her anger out on you. So you must leave the Purgatory World…"

"This reasoning applies to you as well, Agnes."

Leilin turned his gaze to the stunned Agnes. In truth, had it not been for the fact that she had shown some care toward Belinda and her sister, he wouldn't have bothered with her fate at all.

But the Stewart Family being implicated and destroyed seemed to be a foregone conclusion now. If Agnes stayed, her outcome would likely not be pleasant.

"Offended the Mother of Ten Thousand Serpents? Taking it out on us? Heavens! Sovereign Ruler above! What exactly have you done?"

Such mythic-level events immediately stunned Belinda.

"Nothing much! Drew a bit of her blood! And tore apart her divine throne!"

Leilin shrugged. "Right, that's enough chatter. Time for us to leave!"

*Hisssss…* The colossal demonic wyvern roared and slammed into the void, tearing open an enormous black hole.

Leilin rose into the air, carrying Belinda and the other two, and plunged into the spatial passage.

*Rustle, rustle!* A profusion of flowers bloomed across the prairie in an instant, transforming the area into a vast sea of blossoms. A great wind howled and swept through, scattering countless petals into the air, carrying with them beautiful, ethereal notes — as though the of Purgatory itself were bidding Leilin farewell.

The serpent folk inside the Holy City could only watch it all unfold in bewildered ignorance. Some even wavered in their faith, bowing down and prostrating themselves toward Leilin.

And so the legend of another Wyvern Sovereign was born — a tale that would gradually spread throughout the entire Purgatory World…

*Crack!* A terrifying spatial storm formed, and bolts of lightning coalesced into a grand archway.

Four figures passed through the gate of lightning and descended solemnly into this place.

The sky was gloomy and overcast, suffused with an oppressive feeling. The air was thick with Negative Energy particles and earth-element particles.

"The positioning was successful! Even though the Astral coordinates here had long since ceased functioning — fortunately, I am no longer who I used to be!"

Leilin surveyed his surroundings and found that this was precisely near the laboratory he had been in before crossing into the Purgatory World. He nodded with satisfaction.

A being at the Rule level could already undertake Astral travel directly, and the coordinates of the Wizard World were something he had long since memorized. The return posed no difficulty whatsoever.

His powerful, solidified soul and the power of Rules allowed Leilin to perceive the Wizard World with far greater clarity.

The entire Wizard World seemed like a mother welcoming home a long-lost son, opening its arms to receive Leilin with unreserved acceptance — not a shred of suppression.

"The Will of the Wizard World…"

Leilin closed his eyes gently, and behind him, the phantom silhouette of a Taglian Wyvern materialized. "So, it has indeed fallen into slumber?"

"But…"

Leilin turned to look at Belinda and the other two, whose auras had noticeably weakened. "Even in slumber, it subconsciously rejects existences from other worlds! And even eighth-level beings are wary of it — so what kind of power would the World Will possess in its prime?"
