Central Continent. Hidden Dragon Cavern.
"What's going on?" The eight Eastern Sea Gu Immortals quickly noticed the anomaly in the sky.
In broad daylight, Central Continent's sky was blazing with starlight, resplendent and radiant.
"This is likely Heavenly Court's doing. The question is what exactly this technique does," Qing Yue'an said, furrowing his brow.
"So what if it is? Let them come, we'll deal with it. With our lineup here, who could possibly stop us? Unless Heavenly Court sends their main force," Yang Zihe laughed heartily.
"Well said." Qing Yue'an's expression relaxed slightly.
Given the current situation, Heavenly Court's priority was repairing Fate Gu. Hidden Dragon Cavern was merely a peripheral part of the bigger picture. If Heavenly Court diverted significant forces to deal with the Eastern Sea immortals, they would be abandoning the larger strategic objective — a fool's move, to be sure.
"Let's enter the formation. Destroy this grand formation, release Di Cangsheng, and cause enough chaos to give us more opportunities," Yang Zihe said, subtly egging them on.
"Hmm... let's wait a bit and see. Since we're already going to act, what's the rush?" Song Qiyuan was cautious and experienced. "Since Heavenly Court has revealed their hand, we should at least determine what this technique actually does first?"
Song Qiyuan's words gave the Eastern Sea immortals pause once again.
Yang Zihe and the other three Dragon Generals couldn't help but curse silently. These Eastern Sea Righteous Path Eighth Transformation immortals were so indecisive. They had already made it here and shown their hostility — why weren't they breaking the formation quickly?
Their concern over this bizarre phenomenon of stars appearing in daylight was nothing more than self-preservation. They didn't want to take too many risks. If it were Northern Plains immortals, they would have already charged into the formation with a war cry. No wonder the Eastern Sea Gu Immortal world, despite being the wealthiest, was always held down and never made headway in conflicts with other regions.
Fang Yuan wasn't about to let these immortals stand around waiting outside the formation.
The four Dragon Generals, enslaved by the Dragon Palace, were naturally loyal to the core.
Rong Po, in the center, smiled faintly and asked in a deep voice: "What if this technique only just manifested and needs three full days to activate? Are we going to stand here waiting for three days?"
"This..." Song Qiyuan and the others hesitated once more.
But at that moment, pillars of brilliant starlight suddenly shot down from high above.
The light columns were deep blue and luminous, majestic in their grandeur.
More than a dozen pillars descended simultaneously, surrounding the eight Eastern Sea Gu Immortals in the center.
Then, the pillars gradually faded, each one leaving behind a Heavenly Court Gu Immortal.
The Eastern Sea immortals' expressions changed drastically.
In an instant, they found themselves surrounded by a massive Heavenly Court force. The situation had turned on a dime!
"How dare you, vermin, trespass into my Heavenly Court!" Zhang Feixiong's tone was cold and overbearing.
"Today shall be the day of your death." Wan Zihong licked her scarlet lips, killing intent saturating the air.
"Invade Central Continent, and even from a great distance you shall be executed." Qin Song's face was solemn.
"No more chatter — I'm going in first, waaargh!" One of the Heavenly Court female immortals couldn't wait any longer and charged forward.
Her body was enormously obese, like a fleshy meteor, slamming into the Eastern Sea immortals with brave abandon.
The Eastern Sea immortals, lacking unity, immediately scattered.
The obese immortal missed her target and roared in frustration: "You cowards! What are you running from? Come fight me — three hundred rounds!"
"The Flesh Whip Immortal hasn't changed one bit — still so impatient," sighed a Heavenly Court immortal familiar with her.
"Elder Flesh Whip Immortal is usually so warm and approachable. I never expected she'd really be like this in battle." Many Heavenly Court immortals watched with wide eyes.
In the blink of an eye, the female immortal known as the Flesh Whip Immortal was actually chasing down all eight Eastern Sea immortals, hurling coarse insults the entire way.
"Vile woman, don't get cocky!" Seeing this was going nowhere, Qing Yue'an turned to face her.
Flesh Whip Immortal was delighted: "Finally, someone's not running!"
BOOM!
Both unleashed their killer moves and collided head-on, producing a thunderous explosion.
Terrifying waves of qi surged outward, violently shifting the clouds and wind around them.
"Go support Little Bian quickly," Qin Song ordered. Among these immortals, he had the seniority — even the Flesh Whip Immortal was his junior.
The Central Continent immortals swarmed forward.
Among them was Zhu Que'er, a dual cultivator of the Fire and Transformation Paths. There was also Boy Xuankong, who specialized in the Space Path with astonishingly powerful killer moves. And Ye Qiaozi, Zhao Shanhe, Wu Shuang, Yuzhu Zi, and others — all Heavenly Court powerhouses whose names would be recorded in history.
Heavenly Court not only had superior numbers but had also pre-planned their tactics. Their coordination was seamless and their combined might overwhelming.
The eight Eastern Sea Gu Immortals were driven back steadily, barely able to lift their heads.
"This is a trap — we retreat!" Song Qiyuan screamed, his voice hoarse.
His words immediately received support from the other three Righteous Path immortals. With the enemy so overwhelmingly strong, continuing to fight head-on was clearly unwise.
The four Dragon Generals remained silent.
Without Fang Yuan's orders, they would never retreat on their own.
In the midst of the chaos, Zhu Que'er suddenly struck with a single palm, releasing a beam of fire.
The fire was elegant and sinuous, like a blade of vivid light, slashing toward Rong Po.
Rong Po was in the middle of clashing with Zhao Shanhe when the blade of fire came for her. She neither dodged nor evaded.
At the critical moment, Zhang Yin acted. Shadow rippled and surged, successfully blocking the incoming fire.
"Hm? Something's off between these two immortals." Zhu Que'er's expression shifted subtly — she sensed something wrong.
Compared to her previous life, she had awakened earlier and made far more preparations. She had detailed intelligence on Rong Po, Zhang Yin, and the others.
Both were rogue immortals, yet their mutual trust was truly rare!
But soon, Zhu Que'er realized it wasn't just Zhang Yin and Rong Po. Yang Zihe and Shi Miao — these four Eighth Transformation immortals cooperated with absolute trust in each other, covering each other's backs without hesitation.
