Time flew by, and before he knew it, it was already the end of May.

Over the past two-plus months, Lin Lei spent most of his days meditating, with some time devoted to "carving" and reading. The library held an enormous collection of books, and through his reading, Lin Lei's knowledge continued to expand.

The morning of May 29th.

Lin Lei, Yeru, Rein, and George stood in the square before Pruxus Hall. Beside them, a carriage held three wooden crates. In truth, Lin Lei had completed nine stone sculptures over the past two-plus months, but since this was his first time delivering works to Pruxus Hall, he decided to send just three as a trial run.

"You guys carry these three crates," Yeru ordered.

Several of Yeru's servants immediately lifted the three crates.

"Third Brother, come with me." Yeru clearly knew the way well and headed straight toward a side entrance of Pruxus Hall. The hall occupied an enormous area, and several hundred meters from the main gate there was a inconspicuous door. Standing at the entrance was a well-dressed middle-aged man.

The middle-aged man's eyes lit up when he saw Yeru and the others approaching. He walked over quickly and bowed with a smile. "Young Master Yeru, welcome."

Yeru nodded with a smile. "You already know why I'm here. This is my good brother Lin Lei. These three stone sculptures are his work. Can your warehouse people come take these crates inside?"

"One moment." The middle-aged man smiled and nodded.

Soon, several porters came through the passageway. The middle-aged man turned to Lin Lei with a smile. "Young Master Lin Lei, according to the rules of Pruxus Hall, we need to record your identity information. You just need to show me your Ernst Academy student ID."

An Ernst Academy student ID was more than sufficient proof of identity.

Lin Lei took out his student ID from inside his jacket.

The middle-aged man took it and flipped it open. His eyes widened in surprise, and he looked up at Lin Lei with astonishment. "Fifth grade?" Lin Lei's age was obvious at a glance, but to have reached the level of a fifth-grade magician at such a young age was truly impressive.

Yeru couldn't help but say proudly, "My brother here is one of the two greatest prodigies at Ernst Academy. Last year, he was only fourteen when he reached the level of fifth-grade magician at the end-of-year evaluation."

One of the two greatest prodigies at Ernst Academy?

The middle-aged man immediately understood that this Lin Lei before him had limitless potential ahead, and his attitude grew considerably more respectful. He recorded Lin Lei's identity information and then made marks on the three crates.

"Young Master Lin Lei, everything is in order. Just come back in a month to collect your payment," the middle-aged man said with a smile.

"In a month? I won't have time in a month. Would it be all right to delay two or three months?" Lin Lei asked. In another week or two, he was planning to set off for the . This expedition would take roughly two months.

"No rush. As long as your works sell, you can collect your payment whenever you come," the middle-aged man said, nodding.

Yeru frowned. "Huh? That's strange. I remember you used to inspect the inside of crates when accepting stone sculptures. Why not this time?"

The middle-aged man explained, "We used to inspect the crates because some people would send damaged sculptures and then blame us for the damage to shake us down. But since these three sculptures were brought by Young Master Yeru and Young Master Lin Lei, I trust that people of your caliber would never do something like that."

The middle-aged man understood perfectly well.
