Of the three people in the estate, apart from the bald brawny man "Burgess," the other two seemed rather mild-mannered. But one of them, a middle-aged man, stood out — he had long black hair, yet his eyebrows were a vivid crimson.
"Third Brother, the two you wanted to see have arrived." The bald brawny man said as he walked over. The crimson-browed middle-aged man looked at Lin Lei and
He gestured toward the stools not far in front of them.
"Thank you, sir." Lin Lei and Bei Bei said politely, then sat down across from the crimson-browed middle-aged man.
"Big Brother, Second Brother, go ahead and take care of your business. I'll have a chat with these two young ones on my own." The crimson-browed middle-aged man said.
The bald brawny man and the other middle-aged man clearly deferred to their Third Brother without question. They both nodded and left. The crimson-browed middle-aged man turned to Lin Lei and Bei Bei and smiled. "You can call me Master Lei Lin. You two came to me for a reason — go ahead and speak."
Master Lei Lin?
Lin Lei and Bei Bei were surprised. "Huh? Doesn't the master of Tongluo Mountain usually not tell others his name?"
"Master Lei Lin?" Bei Bei blurted out.
"What is it?" Lei Lin looked at Bei Bei, puzzled.
"My — my boss here is called Lin Lei." Bei Bei said, flustered.
"Lin Lei?" Master Lei Lin was momentarily stunned before catching on.
Lin Lei hadn't realized this either until now, but it hit him just the same. "Lin Lei" and "Lei Lin" — those were just two characters swapped around.
"You're really called Lin Lei?" This "Lei Lin" was quite astonished. Lin Lei nodded and smiled. "Yes, Master Lei Lin. My full name is Lin Lei
Master Lei Lin calmed down and burst out laughing. "Ha ha... What a coincidence! It's the opposite for me — Leilin is my family name. My full name is Zacharias Leilin. Come to think of it, we really do share a bit of fate."
"Indeed." Lin Lei also found it remarkable.
After this exchange, Lin Lei no longer felt stiff around Master Lei Lin.
"Master Lei Lin, I came here because of cultivation matters." Lin Lei said.
"Almost everyone who comes to see me is here about cultivation," Lei Lin said with a grin. "However, let me say this upfront — I can only offer you some guidance at best. And I'm only proficient in the Laws of Fire and the Laws of Earth. For the other elemental laws, I can probably only say a sentence or two at most."
Lin Lei smiled.
The Laws of Earth?
Actually, upon seeing this estate, Lin Lei had already figured that the master of Tongluo Mountain was certainly cultivating the Laws of Earth.
"Go ahead," Lei Lin said.
Lin Lei laid out his frustration. "Master Lei Lin, I'm currently cultivating the 'Earth Pulse' within the Laws of Earth. I've managed to fuse and advance it to the 'Second Stage of the Earth Pulse.' But the final step — merging everything into one — I simply can't achieve it."
"You're cultivating the 'Earth Pulse'?" The crimson eyebrows of Tongluo Mountain's master, Lei Lin, rose slightly. "Looks like you've got real talent."
"But as for breaking through a bottleneck — that's something I can't help with," Lei Lin said with a smile.
Lin Lei couldn't help but be taken aback. Weren't there two powerhouses who had achieved godhood independently thanks to this very "Tongluo Mountain master's" guidance?
"You can't help?" Bei Bei spoke up. "But didn't you help others before?"
Lei Lin chuckled. "Rumors just get more distorted as they spread. This kind of bottleneck, an outsider cannot break through for you. At most, I can give you some pointers." Lin Lei's eyes lit up. If this man could point him in the right direction and he gained some insight from it, that would be enough.
"Lin Lei, you want to gain comprehension of the Earth Pulse. Let's put that aside for now. Instead, let's discuss the six profound mysteries contained within the Laws of Earth," Lei Lin said with a mild smile.
"Six profound mysteries?" Lin Lei was somewhat surprised.
He had heard Belute say before that a single elemental law might contain as many as nine profound mysteries.
"That's right. The Laws of Earth contain a total of six profound mysteries," Lei Lin said calmly. "I'm not entirely sure about others, but among at least the four elemental laws — earth, fire, water, and wind — the laws of earth, fire, and water each contain six profound mysteries. The laws of wind have a bit more, containing nine."
Lei Lin spoke with confidence and poise, naturally commanding belief.
Lin Lei nodded slightly.
"The most fundamental of the six profound mysteries of the Laws of Earth is the 'Element of Earth,'" Lei Lin said.
"The 'Element of Earth'?" Lin Lei furrowed his brow.
Elements — they were everywhere, the most common of things. The laws were elemental laws themselves. How could there be a profound mystery called "Element of Earth" within the profound mysteries?
"Lin Lei," Lei Lin began, and couldn't help but smile when he said the name. "You should know that in ordinary magic, there are Earth Golems, Earth Guardians, and the Earth Guardian Holy Armor, correct?"
Lin Lei nodded.
Back when he was young, in the skies above
"Whether it's Earth Golems, Earth Guardians, ordinary meteorites, or the Earth Guardian Holy Armor — in truth, they are all formed by controlling Earth elements through one's internal Magic Power. Wouldn't you agree, Lin Lei?" Lei Lin said, looking at Lin Lei with a smile.
Lin Lei had invested considerable effort in studying magic and naturally understood this.
He nodded at once.
"Whether it's the Earth Guardian or the Earth Guardian Holy Armor — they are both elementary applications of the 'Element of Earth' profound mystery."
Lei Lin spoke at length, brimming with confidence. "The Element of Earth can transform into any shape. You can control it to take on a humanoid form, a magic beast form, or even the shape of armor. When the 'Element of Earth' profound mystery reaches the later stages, it becomes about deeper utilization of the elements. For example... this very estate of mine!"
Lei Lin gestured at the estate around them. "Lin Lei, look at this estate — its hardness rivals that of Black Onyx. Moreover, it can exist permanently! Tell me, how do you think I accomplished that?"
