The Bosha Embankment extended at an angle from the bank of the Yulan River all the way to the river's center.

Yes, the Bosha Embankment was just that peculiar — like a pier, it stretched out to the middle of the river. Under the ceaseless pounding of the Yulan River's waters over ten thousand years, any normal mountain would have long since crumbled.

Yet the Bosha Embankment had endured for over ten thousand years, still completely intact.

It was truly bizarre.

And precisely because of its strangeness, the Bosha Embankment had become famous throughout the Yulan Continent.

On January 16, Yulan Calendar 10044, at the Bosha Embankment along the lower reaches of the Yulan River near the border between the Luo'ao Empire and the — this place was normally bustling with activity, but today, no one was able to approach the Bosha Embankment.

Because…

More than ten Saint Realm powerhouses were guarding the perimeter, forbidding anyone from getting close.

On the riverbank, crowds had gathered to watch.

"More than a dozen Saint Realm powerhouses — this is the first time in my life I've seen so many!" A burly middle-aged man's eyes gleamed with excitement as he kept craning his neck toward the Bosha Embankment. "What's going on today? Is something huge about to happen?"

"Oh come on, those are Saint Realm powerhouses? No way." The crowd of onlookers kept growing, and those who arrived later were skeptical.

"What do you know? I saw it with my own eyes — a bunch of Saint Realm powerhouses flew down from the sky and drove everyone off. Nobody's allowed onto the Bosha Embankment." Someone had arrived early and had witnessed the powerhouses descending from the air.

"So many Saint Realm powerhouses — what are they up to? And who's that bald man sitting on the Bosha Embankment?"

More and more onlookers gathered, and all eyes turned to the single person sitting in a chair on the Bosha Embankment — a tall, bald man in a black robe who hadn't bothered to cover his face. Before the tall bald man sat a round table loaded with fine wine and delicacies.

"More Saints have arrived!" A cry rose from the crowd.

The throngs of onlookers watched three figures fly in from the north. The three figures slowed as they reached the Bosha Embankment and finally landed upon it. Walking shoulder to shoulder, they approached the tall bald man and in moments reached the round table.

"I didn't expect three of you. Ah, my apologies." The tall bald man in the black robe had a face full of coarse features, yet he forced out a smile. "I only prepared two chairs for you."

He then glanced into the distance, clearly sending a soul transmission. Immediately, a Saint Realm powerhouse produced a stool from somewhere and flew over swiftly, placing it down respectfully before retreating with equal deference.

"No need to blame yourself, Mr. ," Desley said with a light smile.

Lin Lei, Desley, and Oliveria all took their seats. When Lin Lei had asked Bulong to relay the message, he'd only mentioned two god-level powerhouses. Beaumont had been slightly surprised that three had come, but he didn't care in the slightest.

So the ones who recently became gods are on their side, Beaumont thought. Freshly ascended Lower Gods? Hmph, I could take on ten like them without breaking a sweat.

Beaumont's gaze settled on Lin Lei. Of the three, Lin Lei was the only one he actually had to watch — because it was Lin Lei who had killed the Grand Sorcerer over three years ago. This Lin Lei killed the Sorcerer and even survived the Sorcerer's ultimate technique.

Lin Lei, Desley, and Oliveria simply regarded Beaumont in silence.

"Ha ha ha…" Beaumont let out a hearty laugh. "Mr. Lin Lei, when you asked to meet with me, how could I refuse? I wonder what the three of you want with me, Beaumont? Whatever it is, just say it. I'm a very straightforward man."

Beaumont's voice boomed loudly.

However, the crowds watching from a distance heard nothing, because Beaumont had activated his Divine Domain.

The Divine Domain was a simple manipulation of the surrounding space using elemental power. Lin Lei, Desley, and Oliveria were all god-level powerhouses themselves and naturally didn't care about such a casual use of the Divine Domain. Even if he'd used it at full force, it wouldn't have posed much of a threat to the three of them.

The Divine Domain was what separated gods from Saints — but once both parties were gods, it had no effect on one another.

"Mr. Beaumont, you should know why we've come," Lin Lei said, staring at him.

Beaumont looked briefly surprised, then broke into a laugh. "Mr. Lin Lei, you're joking. If you don't tell me, how would I know?"

Beside him, Oliveria spoke in a cold voice. "One hundred million people dead in the Luo'ao Empire. One hundred million, Beaumont. You really are ruthless. What do you think the Yulan Continent is — a place where you can kill as many as you please?"

"Mr. Beaumont, we all know what's going on, so let's not play dumb," Lin Lei added.

Beaumont smiled awkwardly and chuckled. "The deaths in the Luo'ao Empire, hmm… Fine, I'll admit it. I did order those nearly one hundred million people to be wiped out. So what? Lin Lei, all three of you have become gods. Do you really still care about those ordinary people?" He put on an exaggerated look of surprise.

"Are you joking?" Lin Lei's expression darkened.

Desley spoke as well. "Beaumont, the Yulan Continent is our home. If we let you keep killing, everyone in our homeland will be dead. What face would we have left to go on living? Beaumont, tell us — how should this matter be resolved?"

How should it be resolved?

Hearing this, Beaumont chuckled inwardly. So they don't want to fight me either. Well then, this will be easy.

Oliveria let out a cold snort from the side.

"My sincerest apologies." Beaumont sighed dramatically. "How about this — you're worried about your people being wiped out, right? I promise I'll stop after killing another hundred million. What do you think? Another hundred million is nothing to the Yulan Continent."

Another hundred million?

Rage surged through all three — Lin Lei, Desley, and Oliveria — and their faces turned cold.

Seeing their reaction, Beaumont laughed. "Ha ha, I'm just joking. You three really can't take a joke, can you? I won't kill anymore. I promise — I won't kill any more of the Yulan Continent's people. That should be enough, right?"
