The powerful warriors still had the scene of that "world-ending" spectacle fresh in their minds—countless Abyssal Blade Demons diving downward in unison... Lin Lei and the others had been stunned into silence, their minds completely blank, overwhelmed with fear and disbelief... They felt like they were going to lose their minds.

"How can there possibly be so many Abyssal Blade Demons?" Lin Lei shook his head, unable to accept it.

Tuli Lei shook his head and let out a low sigh. "I'm afraid that even if the Flame King and the Broodmother went up there, those countless Abyssal Blade Demons would swarm them and tear them to shreds. It's too terrifying... truly too terrifying."

"With so many Abyssal Blade Demons on the eleventh floor, who could possibly obtain a Godhead?" Olivia's face was grim.

"Perhaps the Highgod who built this Tomb of the Gods intended to mock us all along." Six-Eyed Golden Lion 's heart was filled with grief and rage. Back in the Gobad Planar Prison, two of the five brothers had died. Now another had fallen here, leaving only two.

"No, there's still a chance of success." Desli shook his head with a sigh. "The Laws of Elements contain countless profound mysteries, and what we've comprehended are mostly the lower-tier ones. The kind of attack Lin Lei used to kill the Flame King—that belongs to a higher tier. For example, if someone were to master movement to its absolute limit under the Law of Light, moving faster than any Abyssal Blade Demon... then they would likely have hope of obtaining a Godhead."

Both Desli and Olivia had fast movement techniques.

But neither had deeply studied light-speed movement.

"Let's not discuss this right now. The most important thing is to figure out what we should do. Does anyone have any ideas?" Desli looked around at the assembled powerhouses.

"What can we do? Getting back to the tenth floor would be enough," Rosalie sighed. "This Tomb of the Gods is the most dangerous one. Isn't there supposed to be a three-thousand-year cycle? And there are two other large Tombs of the Gods—those two aren't nearly this dangerous."

Faen, Desli, and Tuli Lei all nodded.

The three great passages led to different Tombs of the Gods, and this one was by far the most dangerous and most difficult.

"The most dangerous also has the most treasures," Tuli Lei lamented. "In those other tombs, we didn't obtain a single true divine artifact. But here... we've already obtained two Life Source Pearls. I believe the Godheads on this eleventh floor number more than one."

The assembled powerhouses all secretly nodded in agreement.

The greater the danger, the greater the reward upon success.

But...

When the danger was so absolute that there wasn't a shred of hope, what use were all the Godheads in the world?

"Why don't we hide underground and wait a few months until the ten-year period expires?" the Black-Armored Giant Scorpion spoke up.

Lin Lei's eyes lit up as well.

One should know one's own limits. When he saw those countless Abyssal Blade Demons, Lin Lei had already given up hope of obtaining a Godhead on the eleventh floor. After all... there were simply too many of them.

"I'm afraid that won't work," Olivia shook his head. "Press your ears against these metal walls and feel."

Lin Lei immediately pressed his ear against the metal wall. A very faint vibration was continuously transmitting through it.

The hearts of all the powerhouses sank.

"There must be an enormous number of Abyssal Blade Demons moving downward together," the third brother of the Six-Eyed Golden Lions, Clevo, said in a low voice. "Their speed may not be fast, but they're moving in unison. Once that many Abyssal Blade Demons surround us..."

"We can't stay here," Tuli Lei said.

Lin Lei looked down at curled up in his arms, his gaze hardening. He looked around at the group. "There's no choice now. Underground, we won't last even a day before countless Abyssal Blade Demons have us completely surrounded."

"Our only way out is to return to the tenth floor," Lin Lei said firmly.

"How? Lin Lei, you saw for yourself—all those Abyssal Blade Demons blocking the passage entrance," Faen said immediately.

Lin Lei took a deep breath. "There's still one option."

All the powerhouses looked at Lin Lei.

"We'll take a detour underground and approach the passage entrance from below. When the time comes, you all hold them off, and I'll prepare to unleash a Dimensional Blade, killing every single Abyssal Blade Demon blocking the passage entrance."

The surrounding powerhouses looked at Lin Lei, not believing his plan had much chance of success.

After all, how many Abyssal Blade Demons could the Dimensional Blade actually kill?

"The Dimensional Blade will clear a path from us to the passage entrance, but that path will quickly be sealed by the surrounding Abyssal Blade Demons rushing in. We need to charge through that path into the tenth floor before they close it!" Lin Lei explained.

All the powerhouses fell silent.

Use the Dimensional Blade to carve open a passage, then instantly dash into the tenth floor.

If they were even a step too slow, the surrounding horde of Abyssal Blade Demons would close in and kill them all!

It was a race against time!

"We have no choice," Lin Lei said, looking around at the assembled powerhouses.

By now, the vibrations from the surrounding metal walls had intensified—clearly, the massive swarm of Abyssal Blade Demons was getting closer and closer.

"I agree. Let's gamble—there's at least a sliver of hope," Tuli Lei was the first to speak.

Desli, Rosalie, and Faen exchanged glances, then all nodded slightly. The two Six-Eyed Golden Lions, the Black-Armored Giant Scorpion, and Olivia all nodded in agreement as well. As for Bei Bei... he had no objections either.

"The most critical thing is that when we reach the surface, we absolutely must not be detected by any other Abyssal Blade Demons. Also, as we approach the surface, I'll be silently chanting a magic spell, and during that time I won't be able to focus on fighting them off," Lin Lei said.

"Don't worry. When you unleash the Dimensional Blade, even if Abyssal Blade Demons come for us, we'll hold them off no matter what," Desli said.

The eyes of all the powerhouses grew resolute.

Seize that final sliver of hope!

"Let's move," Lin Lei said.

The Black-Armored Giant Scorpion immediately took the lead, carving a path forward. This time, the group didn't dare travel in a straight line upward—they detoured underground before approaching the surface. Whether it was good luck or not, Lin Lei and the others didn't encounter their first Abyssal Blade Demon until they'd already covered more than half the distance.

"Psst." A single swipe of Bei Bei's claw shattered the Abyssal Blade Demon's skull before it could even make a sound.

"Everyone, be careful. We're only about five hundred meters from the surface now, and the closer we get, the more Abyssal Blade Demons there will be," Desli warned. Lin Lei was currently positioned in the center of the group's protection, silently reciting his magic spell.

"Not good!" The Black-Armored Giant Scorpion stopped when they were about three hundred meters from the surface.

"These Abyssal Blade Demons have dug out a massive pit around the passage entrance," the Black-Armored Giant Scorpion's voice echoed in the minds of all the powerhouses. Every heart skipped a beat. Lin Lei's expression changed as well—he immediately stopped chanting his spell.
