He had gone through considerable effort to purchase the Shield of Arcane Light. To quickly scrape together 30 gold, he had foolishly spent 700,000 Credit Points. But now that he had the item in hand, the Dark Star Guild could proudly claim to be the second guild in all of White River City capable of tackling the hard-mode three great dungeons.
Previously, Dark Star had been overtaken by Snake of the Body mainly because their main tank wasn't strong enough. But now things were different. With this Shield of Arcane Light, Dark Star was on the same starting line as Snake of the Body.
As for the other guilds, they were nothing to worry about.
Even if the Zero Wing Guild already had the Shield of Arcane Light, a newly established guild simply didn't have the resources to run the three great dungeons.
Just then, a system announcement rang out.

Currently, the only guild in White River City that could handle a 20-man Hell Difficulty team dungeon first clear was Snake of the Body. But that had only been a level 10 low-tier dungeon, not a level 15 high-tier one like this.
"How is this possible? They're just a newly established guild—how did they pull this off?" Wei Wo Du Kuang couldn't make sense of it. "Could it be that someone like Ye Feng helped them in secret? No, that can't be right either. It's a 20-man dungeon. Individual strength has its limits."
"Boss, should we send someone to investigate right away?" an Assassin asked.
"No need. The three great dungeons take priority. Zero Wing only got the first clear of Hell Difficulty Demon Castle. Once we claim the first clear of the Eternal Slumber, Zero Wing will be nothing but a footnote to our Dark Star Guild." Wei Wo Du Kuang shook his head with a dismissive smile.
Though Wei Wo Du Kuang was contemptuous, the other guilds in White River City didn't share his attitude. Independent players were especially stunned.
Before, many had felt that the Zero Wing Guild's ranking among White River City's top six guilds was unearned. Sure, having eight members occupying the top eight spots on the level honor board silenced most critics, but now, with the Hell Difficulty Demon Castle first clear under their belt, it was clear that dungeons were no longer a weakness for Zero Wing.
This stirred the hearts of many skilled players who had been on the fence about joining Zero Wing.
After all, Zero Wing was only the second guild in White River City to clear a 20-man Hell Difficulty team dungeon—and they had done it on the highest-level dungeon players could currently enter, a level 15 instance, putting them leagues ahead of every other guild.
