Shi Feng's words cut deep into Wei Wo Du Kuang and the others.
The atmosphere in the area instantly turned oppressive, both sides radiating the sense that one wrong word could lead to an all-out brawl.
But nobody made a move.
Everyone knew that if a fight broke out now, it would mean an all-out war between the two guilds. No matter who won or lost, the casualties would be enormous and it would only benefit others. So neither Chenmo Canjian nor Wei Wo Du Kuang wanted to see that happen.
"You think trash like you can talk big?" Wei Wo Du Kuang's expression turned cold in an instant. He stared at Shi Feng with a venomous gaze and said with a voice full of contempt, "Fine, you're really something. Let our people settle this on the field. I want to see if your mouth is really as sharp as you think."
With that, Wei Wo Du Kuang led his subordinates straight into the Orc Armory, starting on Hard mode right off the bat without any warm-up or preparation. It was obvious he wanted to show Shi Feng and the Assassin Alliance exactly how wide the gap between them was.
"What's there to brag about? You'll be the ones eating crow soon enough," Ci Xin sneered, curling his lip.
If you hadn't actually experienced the 20-man Hard mode Orc Armory, you had no idea just how brutal that difficulty was. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone looking for Shi Feng to help.
It was a last resort, really. The Assassin Alliance's position was awkward right now, and they needed a breakthrough. Securing the Hard mode First Clear was absolutely essential.
"Exactly, what's Dark Star got on us? Once we're in the dungeon, they'll be the ones crying."
"Guild Leader, let's get into the dungeon already! I want the Dark Star people to get a good taste of the Assassin Alliance's power."
"That's right, Guild Leader. This First Clear is ours."
The rest of the Assassin Alliance members shook off their earlier dejection, rolling up their sleeves and getting fired up.
When Shi Feng heard their chatter, he just let out a soft laugh and said nothing.
But the Assassin Alliance's guild leader, Chenmo Canjian, was looking at Shi Feng in a new light.
He hadn't expected Shi Feng to actually have some real skill.
The team's morale had been sinking, but Shi Feng's provocation had turned the whole thing around. Now every last person was burning with righteous fury, itching to charge into the dungeon right this second, crush the boss, and grab the Hard mode First Clear so Dark Star could see exactly what they were capable of.
Shi Feng, for his part, wasn't particularly impressed.
After all, he used to be a guild leader himself. Getting a team's cohesion to spike in an instant was simple.
All you needed was an enemy.
Wei Wo Du Kuang was already an enemy of the Assassin Alliance, but Shi Feng had thrown more fuel on the fire to push their fighting spirit even higher.
Of course, that heightened morale was nothing more than a psychological boost. It wasn't going to suddenly make an impossible dungeon clearable just because everyone was fired up.
To clear a Hard mode team dungeon, you still needed other critical factors.
