Now then, body!

[Ahh. Tedious work awaits me, huh.]

Indeed, I leave the scale stripping to you.

I dump the task of stripping scales from the fire dragon and the eels onto my body. In the meantime, let me check out the performance of the titles I've acquired.

[Dragon Slayer: Acquired Skills "Life Lv1" "Dragon Force Lv1": Acquisition Condition: Defeat a certain number of dragon-type monsters: Effect: Slightly increased damage dealt to dragons and dragon-type monsters: Description: A title bestowed upon those who have slain numerous dragon-type monsters] [Bringer of Terror: Acquired Skills "Intimidation Lv1" "Heterodox Attack Lv1": Acquisition Condition: Cause others to gain a certain amount of Proficiency in Fear Resistance: Effect: Imparts the Heterodox attribute "Terror" effect upon those who see you: Description: A title bestowed upon one who embodies terror] Whoa!

Dragon Slayer is fine and all, but Bringer of Terror's effect is bad news!

So basically, anyone who just looks at me will feel fear?

That's no good!

It might be great against enemies, but making everyone else who isn't an enemy terrified too is more of a negative effect!

And unlike a Skill, I can't toggle this on and off, can I?

Oh no.

If it's a weak-willed monster like a catfish, won't it run away the moment it sees me?

That could totally happen.

Well, what's done is done.

Let me pull myself together and check out the Skills.

I've seen them on the Skill list, but I don't remember the effects.

Hmm. My memory really is terrible.

Should I maybe get a memory-related Skill?

Eh, whatever.

[Dragon Force: Temporarily gain the power of dragons] Huh?

Hmm, I don't really get it.

Seems like an activation-type Skill, but let me try activating it once.

Oh?

When I activated it, my stats went up a little.

And both my MP and SP decreased.

Seems like a Skill that consumes MP and SP to boost stats.

Unlike Magic Combat and Ki Combat, it also boosts magic-related stats.

Since it's only Level 1, the boost isn't that impressive, but if I keep this activated at all times and level it up, it could become something incredible in the end.

Stacking Magic Combat and Ki Combat together already gives quite a boost, so if I add Dragon Force on top of that...

That's nice. That's really nice.

[Intimidation: Imparts the Heterodox attribute "Terror" effect to the surrounding area] And you too, huh.

This one seems like I can toggle it on and off unlike the title, but if I stack both together, most monsters would probably wet themselves and run away the moment they see me, right?

Well, the title already made it irreversible anyway, so I'll just keep this active at all times too.

It doesn't seem to consume anything either.

[Heterodox Attack: Imbues attacks with the Heterodox attribute "Soul Break"] Ah, this one's dangerous.

[Heterodox Attribute "Soul Break": An attribute that directly destroys the soul] This isn't even at the level of a mental attack anymore!

That's brutal.

I'll try it out next time.

Yeah.

Dragon Slayer was a straightforward stat boost.

Bringer of Terror is a mixed bag between pros and cons.

It's good, but also bad.

Well, I guess that's about it for titles.

Now then, as you've been waiting for — since I leveled up, I got Skill Points.

And since I went up a level in one go, it was quite a lot.

And that's just enough for me to reach the Skill I've been wanting.

Hehehe.

I never thought I'd be able to get it this quickly.

[Spatial Magic (500): Magic that manipulates space] This one, this one.

Spatial Magic is a classic cheat Skill.

Right after acquiring it, it's only Level 1 so I probably won't be able to use any impressive magic, but thanks to the Lord of Wisdom title's effect, I have the bonus of faster level-ups for magic-type Skills.

If I put in the effort to level it up, the level should rise fairly quickly.

Hehehe.

What I'm expecting from this Spatial Magic.

That would be Teleport!

A magic like this just has to exist, right?

When you think of Spatial Magic, you think Teleport, Item Box, and vacation home in another dimension!

There might be something like an Item Box that lets you store things in another dimension, but I don't really have a habit of carrying stuff around, so I don't need it much.

I'd like a vacation home, but that probably requires a pretty high level, so I think that's still far off.

Teleport.

A wonderful magic that lets you instantly move to a distant location.

With this, I won't have to slowly crawl my way through the vast Middle Layer!

Thanks to the Lord of Wisdom, I have a map of the Upper Layer!

If I link it with the map, I'll definitely be able to Teleport to the Upper Layer!

So, Voice of Heaven (provisional)!

Spatial Magic, please!

<<Currently held Skill Points: 500.

Skill "Spatial Magic Lv1" can be acquired by using 500 Skill Points.

Acquire?>> Yes!

<<"Spatial Magic Lv1" acquired. Remaining Skill Points: 0>> Alright.

Let me try out the magic available at Level 1 right away.

Magic!

{Hey there~} My magic activates Spatial Magic Level 1.

The name of the Level 1 magic is "Coordinate Designation."

Some kind of green wireframe cube appears.

My magic is resizing it, reshaping it, and shifting it left and right.

It doesn't seem to be physical — it sinks right through not just magma, but the ground too.

It reminds me of selecting an area on a computer.

Actually, that's probably exactly what it is.

{This is a magic that just designates space, huh} What would I even use that for?

{It's probably preparation for magic at Level 2 and beyond?} Yeah, that's what I figured.

So basically, like Shadow Magic, it's the type that's useless until the level goes up.

{Yep} Hmm.

Well, I didn't expect to use it in actual combat right away, so the fact that I've acquired it is what matters.

I'll keep leveling it up from here.

So, magic!

{This one takes priority over the other magics, right} Yeah.

By the way, how many magics can you activate in parallel right now?

{It depends on the magic. But Coordinate Designation isn't that demanding, so I think I could handle about two more simple magics at the same time} Got it. Keep gaining Proficiency during movement without pushing too hard.

{Yes sir~} My body is still struggling with the scales.

Well, three eels and a fire dragon that's about twice the size of an eel.

Actually processing the fire dragon will probably take a while longer.

Still, it's amazing how we could beat a monster horde led by a fire dragon this strong so easily.

Am I much stronger than I thought?

Hehehe.

Maybe I should call myself a Demon King someday?

With the Bringer of Terror title and all, I could actually look the part.

I am the Spider Demon King!

Just kidding.

At this point, I didn't know.

That joke about becoming a Demon King.

The meaning behind those words.
