He had killed countless Blade Demons and White Bone Giants—the Leaders—and the number of Legacy Chapters and Broken Steel Blueprint Fragments he could obtain had hit its limit. No matter how many more he killed, nothing else would drop.
If it weren't for the fact that he needed to advance his offensive skills to Tier One and push his combat power to its current ceiling, Shi Feng would have charged straight into Sword Peak Mountain long ago.
Although his skills could still be raised in tier, advancing a skill to Tier One and then from Tier One to Tier Two required an absurd amount of skill proficiency—it simply wasn't something that could be accomplished in a short time. On top of that, Shi Feng was running out of time.
He and Bai Qingxue had agreed on five days, so Shi Feng had no choice but to move out.
During this period, something big had also happened in White River City.
After the Yixiao Qingcheng guild claimed First Clear of the Maple Leaf City large-scale team dungeon, they went on to claim First Clear of White River City's large-scale team dungeon, the Land of Eternal Sleep. Bai Qingxue's guild, the Snake of the Body, fell one step behind, clearing it second.
The gap was only one position, but the difference might as well have been the distance between heaven and earth.
The team that cleared first received a system-wide announcement. The second team did not. The only way to earn another system announcement would be for Bai Qingxue to clear the Hell Difficulty Land of Eternal Sleep—but Hell Difficulty was incomparably harder than the normal version. Spending a huge amount of time conquering it simply wasn't worth the cost.
It was far better to pour that energy into tackling the level-20 large-scale team dungeons, especially the hundred-player ones.
Compared to the level-10 to level-20 range, the jump from level 20 to 30 was enormous. In the Divine Realm, leveling grew slower the higher you went, and after reaching level 20 it slowed even more—which meant the major guilds had more time to prepare.
On Sword Peak Mountain, Shi Feng hadn't encountered any threats along the way, nor had he found any monsters.
However, the closer he got to the glowing light at the summit, the faster the swords floating in the sky became, and their numbers kept increasing, making the mountain far more dangerous.
"Is that all they've got?" Shi Feng murmured, surprised.
These floating swords did cause him some trouble, but by dodging and deflecting, he made his way toward the summit without too much difficulty.
Over the course of four days, Shi Feng had collected a total of 49 Legacy Chapters and 17 Broken Steel Forging Blueprint Fragments. He was just one of each away from completing the set.
Since this was the only way out, the summit had to hold the final Legacy Chapter and Blueprint Fragment.
"What is that?"
Shi Feng suddenly noticed armored figures emerging on the stone platform ahead—knights wielding enormous swords, their bearing awe-inspiring.
These were different from the White Bone Giants and Blade Demons.
These giant-sword knights were not monsters. They were NPCs.
Dorren Pallei—a Tier One Magic Knight, Level 30, with 300,000 HP.
A Tier One NPC at Level 30 was already harder to deal with than a Level 30 Leader monster.
And this particular Tier One NPC was clearly no ordinary foe. His HP alone was a staggering 300,000—comparable to a Level 30 Leader. High-level skills, superior intelligence, and a terrifying health pool made him an absolute nightmare for any player.
But Shi Feng had no path of retreat now. He could only charge forward, steeling himself to face Dorren Pallei the Magic Knight while simultaneously dealing with the sword attacks from the sky.
However, the moment Shi Feng stepped onto the stone platform where Dorren Pallei stood, the aerial sword attacks stopped—as if the system were announcing that the dodging challenge had been passed.
