A Legacy meant a hidden class.
That was why Legacy items were extraordinarily rare in the Divine Realm — you could count them on one hand.
Previously, obtaining the Star Enchanter Legacy from the Blood Hand Society's stronghold had completely exceeded Shi Feng's expectations. Now he had obtained an even more powerful Legacy, one that both Berserkers and Swordsmen could use. How could he not be excited?
The main reason Shi Feng was certain this Legacy surpassed the Star Enchanter's was the extreme requirements for unsealing it.
Ziyan Liuyun's Legacy item was the Magic Artifact Star's Remembrance, which required a Tier 3 Blacksmith to unseal. Among the many Legacies out there, that was already considered a high-tier one.
But the Sword in the Stone that Shi Feng had obtained was even more impressive.
The Sword in the Stone — an ancient blade encased in crystal, radiating an aura of primordial power, flawlessly natural with no trace of human craftsmanship. However, this ancient sword had been grievously damaged by some terrifying force. To awaken the dormant power within and learn more about it, one needed to gather the strength of three Tier 4 Class holders simultaneously, consume twenty-one Mana Source Stones, and the player's Class had to be either Swordsman or Berserker.
Setting aside the three Tier 4 Class NPCs, the Mana Source Stones alone were headache-inducing.
Mana Source Stones were incredibly precious in the Divine Realm. Their value, while not quite on par with the Seven Luminary Crystals, wasn't far off either, because Mana Source Stones were rare materials used to forge Epic-grade weapons and equipment. The most annoying part was that they couldn't be purchased anywhere — they only had a chance of dropping from Hard-mode bosses in 100-player team Dungeons, and even then the drop rate was a mere 2%.
Right now, no one in the entire Divine Realm had even heard of a 50-player team Dungeon at level 10 being First Cleared, let alone a 100-player team Dungeon at level 20. Even Zero Wing, under Shi Feng's leadership, was only just making preparations. You needed a full party of 100 Tier 1 players to even have a shot at clearing the Hard mode. In other words, Mana Source Stones were simply not obtainable at this point.
The unsealing difficulty far exceeded that of the Magic Artifact Star's Remembrance. That was why Shi Feng was absolutely certain this Legacy was far superior to Star's Remembrance — at the very least, it was a top-tier Legacy in the Divine Realm.
"I'll just have to give it a try. No idea if it'll work." Shi Feng glanced at the Sword in the Stone in his inventory and let out a bitter, helpless laugh.
The awakening requirements for the Sword in the Stone were simply too demanding. Ever since identifying it, Shi Feng had been racking his brain trying to figure out how to meet those conditions. If he waited for Zero Wing to achieve the First Clear of a 100-player Dungeon and slowly gather twenty-one Mana Source Stones, he couldn't afford to wait that long.
For any other guild leader, simply starting the Class Change Quest would be next to impossible — an ordinary player could never hope to complete it. Only after hours of deliberation had Shi Feng finally come up with a general approach that might allow him to fulfill the awakening conditions ahead of schedule.
Afterward, Shi Feng left the conference room and headed alone to the Forging Room on the fourth floor of the Star Trace Trading Company.
The blueprints and recipes that had dropped this time totaled seven, three of which were forging schematics.
All three forging schematics were for basic Reinforced Armor Plates, corresponding to plate armor, leather armor, and cloth armor respectively. While they were considerably inferior to the basic Mana Armor Plates — only half as effective — they were still quite valuable.
Shi Feng wasn't a dedicated life-skill player, so he couldn't spend enormous amounts of time crafting Mana Armor Plates. On the market, basic Mana Armor Plates were in perpetual short supply, which made these three Reinforced Armor Plate schematics all the more important.
"Guild Leader, I've gathered everyone you asked for." Melancholy Smile knocked and entered, addressing Shi Feng respectfully.
Over this period, Melancholy Smile had grown more and more into the bearing of a capable businesswoman. She was now a Senior Forging Apprentice, not far from becoming an initial-tier Blacksmith.
The secret life-skills guild Shi Feng had quietly established — the Skyline Alliance — had grown under Melancholy Smile's management into a life-skills guild of over three thousand members, all recruited life-skill players from various sources. Now more than half of the products in the Star Trace Trading Company were crafted by these people and sold across the eight cities surrounding White River City.
Even Watercolor Rose, Hei Zi, and the others didn't know about this. As far as everyone was concerned, these people were merely players recruited by the Star Trace Trading Company, working as employees in an NPC-run shop.
