The moment Nan Lang fell, the rest of Dark Star's members scattered like headless chickens, panicked and terrified, fleeing in every direction.
Zero Wing's Berserker, Jimo Ruxue, was the first to close within twenty yards. A Charge stunned a fleeing Elemental of Dark Star, followed by Thunderstrike, Heavy Strike, Suppression, and Whirlwind Slash — and the Elemental was taken down in an instant.
Right after, everyone else surged forward as well.
Unable to use skills or items, and with short legs to boot, it didn't take long before every last one of them was killed, weapons and equipment scattering across the ground.
"That battle felt amazing! Let them Dark Star think having numbers makes them invincible — well, they're all dead now, aren't they?" Ke Le looked at the gear strewn across the ground and burst into hearty laughter, the frustration from their earlier escape completely swept away.
Fire Dance nodded as well, a smile on her face as she said softly, "This fight really did let us blow off some steam. Not a single one of us died, and we wiped out over a hundred Dark Star members. Now they'll have to rethink their hunting plan."
An elite squad of over a hundred — wiped out so quickly. That meant without two or three hundred people, they'd simply be sending themselves to their deaths. To minimize losses, Dark Star would have to restructure their forces, bundling their hundred-person squads into two- or three-hundred-strong units before resuming the hunt.
Hei Zi and the others were all grinning too.
Making Dark Star lose over a hundred elite members — that would sting them plenty.
"Clean up the loot. Dark Star's people will be here soon." Shi Feng issued another command.
The drops from over a hundred Dark Star elites were nothing short of generous — nearly a thousand pieces of weapons and equipment in total, mostly Iron Rank. The spoils from this single battle far exceeded what Water's Rose had gained from the ten-thousand-player war on her end.
Even Shi Feng couldn't help but marvel.
Killing and plundering lines your pockets with gold.
Just this one battle alone could equip an elite squad of a hundred. That was why in his previous life, so many major guilds loved to ambush the main forces of smaller guilds — it boosted the guild's reputation and earned a fortune at the same time. Compared to running dungeons and fighting bosses, gear acquisition was far faster this way.
Still, these weapons and equipment couldn't come close to making up for the losses Zero Wing had suffered before.
Zero Wing's elites had wielded gear far superior to Dark Star's, let alone the main squad — many of them had possessed Mythril Rank or even Gold-grade weapons and equipment.
"Guild Master, why aren't you leaving?" Fire Dance looked at Shi Feng in surprise as he leaped up into a tall tree.
"You all go ahead. I'll cover the rear." Shi Feng wasn't the type to sit comfortably. Since he'd come this far, he naturally intended to take something from Dark Star.
"But Guild Master, it's too dangerous here. You're not even an Assassin." Fire Dance worried.
"You've all done more than enough. I'm the Guild Master of Zero Wing — the rest is up to me." Shi Feng waved them off, telling Fire Dance and the others to head to the designated meeting point first.
Hearing Shi Feng say this, every member of Zero Wing felt a warmth in their hearts and were moved beyond words.
In all of Divine Realm, guild masters willing to venture alone into danger for their members were exceedingly rare — let alone one as famous as Shi Feng. A single death would have a massive impact on his reputation.
"Then I'm staying too," Hei Zi said.
"A fight like this can't happen without me." Ke Le stepped forward.
