"What did you say?" Huihuang Zhanshen was momentarily stunned.
"Of course I'm agreeing to your duel," Shi Feng said with a smile.
After Shi Feng's confirmation, Huihuang Zhanshen realized he hadn't misheard. He had originally thought that once Shi Feng learned how terrifying he was, he would flatly refuse. He had been brainstorming ways to provoke or enrage Shi Feng, but it seemed all that effort had been wasted.
He had actually run into some kind of idiot with a loose screw.
Shuise Qiangwei had already told him just how powerful Huihuang Zhanshen was, yet the guy had agreed all happily.
Well, it saved him a lot of trouble.
"Didn't expect you to have some guts. Since you've agreed, let's head outside and duel. Don't worry—I'll mercifully give you a quick end. I won't make you lose too much face. Hahaha."
With that, Huihuang Zhanshen strode toward the restaurant's exit, laughing loudly.
"Master Black Flame, you really shouldn't have agreed to this. Sure, he's a bully, but he's one of Dusk Echo's top five Shield Warriors. And he just got his hands on an Iron Rank Diamond Guardian set and a Mythril Rank Giant Bear Battle Axe. You're a Swordsman whose main focus is the Blacksmith sub-class—dueling him is just asking for trouble." Shuise Qiangwei stepped forward, her voice laced with worry.
Shuise Qiangwei knew Huihuang Zhanshen's strength all too well. Given the chance, he would undoubtedly humiliate Shi Feng in every way possible, paying him back for what had happened before. If that happened and Shi Feng left in disgrace, how could she ever collaborate with him?
She had poured so much effort into this, even purchasing a large stockpile of forging materials. A partnership with Shi Feng would have earned her a huge profit, but now all of that had been ruined by Huihuang Zhanshen. She could almost tear him apart on the spot.
"Miss Shuise, thank you for letting me know. I understand the situation," Shi Feng expressed his gratitude.
"Good, at least you understand." Hearing this, Shuise Qiangwei breathed a sigh of relief. All she had to do now was chase Huihuang Zhanshen away.
She had been about to say, "Leave this to me."
But Shi Feng continued, "Don't worry. I'll resolve this fight very quickly."
After speaking, Shi Feng headed for the restaurant exit, leaving a stunned Shuise Qiangwei behind.
After all that, it turned out Shi Feng hadn't understood her meaning at all. Instead, he was even more confident about going through with the duel. Shuise Qiangwei even wondered if she had somehow said it backwards, making Shi Feng think Huihuang Zhanshen was weak and completely outmatched.
In the city, duels were typically held right on the main street, but they could only proceed once both parties had agreed on a set of rules. Otherwise, it would be classified as a malicious attack—the guards would personally cut you down and throw you in jail afterward.
The moment Shi Feng stepped out of the restaurant, Huihuang Zhanshen issued a duel challenge and had already set the stakes and penalties. All that was left was for Shi Feng to click "Agree," and the duel would be officially binding. The rules were absolute—once both parties consented, the rewards and penalties would be enforced without exception. Even if a player refused to hand over the agreed-upon item, the system would transfer it to the winner. The same applied to punishments.
One had to admit that Huihuang Zhanshen was truly ruthless. The loser would be dropped straight back to level zero. That meant all the hard work and effort spent leveling up over the past many days would be completely wasted. On top of that, the gap between them and the main player base would be enormous, and catching up would be incredibly difficult.
"If you have no objections, go ahead and click agree," Huihuang Zhanshen said with a cold smile.
Shi Feng gave the terms a quick scan, confirmed there were no issues, and clicked "Agree."
