Guliguli casually tossed a water dragon that was on the verge of death back into the sea.
To put it bluntly, the way he handled it was rough.
The water dragon apparently managed to breathe again, and swam away just like that.
Guliguli sat down beside me.
"He's been causing quite the ruckus, hasn't he?"
*Gulp.* Oh no. Is he angry?
To be honest, when it comes to the Demon King, I can use Egg Revival — it won't be exactly even, but I could at least manage not to die.
But this man is different.
Administrator Guliedistodies.
This man is the most powerful being in this world, a resident of the same realm as D.
In other words, a god.
Not a metaphor — a literal, actual god.
A cheat-of-cheats that can even partially interfere with the system.
Lately, I've been starting to get a vague sense of what kind of existence a "god" truly is.
And once you reach that understanding, you realize just how insane this man and D really are.
If the Demon King is a tank, then Guliedistodies is a nuclear weapon.
Before you even talk about winning or losing, the moment it detonates, it's over.
That's the kind of existence he is.
On my personal "rankings of people you must never piss off," he comes in at a solid second place, right after D.
Second place — surpassing the third-place Demon King outright.
So, is this where I die?
"Thanks to you, I've got a splitting headache."
Guliguli let out a deep sigh.
Ah, yeah.
He wasn't exactly angry — more like a boss who had to host an apology festival because of a subordinate's blunder.
Not angry per se, just thoroughly, utterly exhausted.
Guliguli distorted space and pulled something out.
A bottle?
"Want some?"
He popped the cap with a *click*, and a rich aroma wafted out.
It was alcohol.
Guliguli pulled two glasses from yet another pocket dimension and poured the liquor in.
Without giving me any say in the matter, he shoved one into my hands.
"Keep me company. I think I'm allowed to flex that much authority."
Oh, sure.
I'm a minor and I've never had alcohol before, but refusing in this situation sounds terrifying, so I'll gladly keep you company.
Guliguli gulped down his drink in one swig.
Nice technique.
This guy must drink a ton on a regular basis.
I don't know the first thing about alcohol, but I enjoy the aroma for now.
Mixed with the smell of the sea, it had a strange quality.
I took a sip.
Oh, it's slightly sweet and tasty.
"There's plenty more where that came from. Drink as much as you like."
Taking him at his word, I drained my glass in one gulp.
Guliguli immediately refilled it.
I enjoyed my very first taste of alcohol.
"Good grief,
"Hee hee. Everything's shining~"
"Nothing is shining. If not for Sariel, I would have abandoned this world long ago. I can't forgive what the other dragons did, but the humans in this world are all fools and trash too. The proof is that not a single person freed by the Absolution System has actually been liberated. Every last one of them just hoards Sin Points without ever reducing them. How much evil do they need to accumulate before they're satisfied? And yet they go around prattling about 'subjugating evil dragons' and picking fights with the subordinates I've entrusted with regional management. Who's the real evil here, honestly?"
"Ahhh, so happy~"
"I'm miserable. Pitch black ahead of me. But I suppose there's nothing to be done. This is the price of falling in love. I want to grant her wishes. Even if it means she dies, if she smiles at me in the end, I'll endure anything. Though after she's dead, I couldn't care less what happens to the world."
"Whee~"
"And you — picking a fight with Ariel wasn't enough for you? You had to go and intervene in a human war too? Ah, no. I understand the reason, and I understand the feeling. I've lost count of how many times I've wanted to tear them apart myself. Honestly, it did feel a little satisfying. The God Word Religion is hopelessly corrupt, and the Goddess Religion has strayed far from its original teachings. They don't even have the right to worship Sariel in the first place, the audacity of it all. Shameful, truly shameful."
"Kill them all~"
"That would certainly be the quickest solution. Unfortunately, Sariel herself despises that above all else, so it's unworkable. And I can't betray Sariel's feelings either, so it remains unworkable. Things never go your way. I'd never get through this without alcohol."
"Alcohol's tasty~"
"Good drinking form. Drink more."
"Wheee~"
Good morning.
Huh?
When did I fall asleep?
My memory from last night is kind of fuzzy from a certain point onward.
Drinking with Guliguli, listening to him vent...
What happened after that?
I feel like I spent the whole time listening to Guliguli's complaints, but I can't recall the details.
Guliguli's not here anymore.
Did he just come here to drown his sorrows?
Or did he just want someone to listen to him vent?
What's up with that god?
Well, I did learn one thing.
Alcohol is delicious.
