On the western side of the great bridge, soldiers stood in formation with their shields raised, and the Imperial soldiers charged straight toward them.
Arrows and magic were fired from behind the shield wall, blocking the advance of the Imperial soldiers.
The Imperial forces were fierce, but House Lavender was not backing down either.
House Lavender hated the Gaiselle Empire, and it was said they had kept their fangs sharp even after peace was signed between the two nations... and that effort was bearing fruit on the battlefield.
"Hah... I guess so. It's not over yet, is it..."
Rest let out a hollow laugh.
He had thought taking down the splinter force on his own would make the Empire's invasion fail.
He was naive. Completely underestimated it.
