His body surged with the wind, his clothes splitting apart in an instant. Brownish-gold fur sprouted from beneath his skin, and in the blink of an eye, he had already surpassed three meters in height. A heavy, oppressive aura exploded outward, his muscles bulging grotesquely, and all eight Soul Rings materialized almost simultaneously.
Two yellow, three purple, three black — the mark of a Soul Douluo's power.
In ordinary times,
He let out a roar toward the sky. The massive aura detonated outward, and with Zhao Wuji's body at its epicenter, every blade of
Only now did the watching students understand why the Shrek Five Devils — each of them around the sixtieth rank — had been told by Dean Flandre that simply lasting three incense sticks' worth of time would count as victory. They were facing a Soul Douluo! And if the vice-dean was already a Soul Douluo, what about the dean?
Flandre provided the answer immediately. Unlike Zhao Wuji's thunderous roar, what erupted from him was a piercing shriek. A pair of enormous eagle wings unfurled from his back, his pupils contracted to slits, and his hands curled into claw shapes. Eight Soul Rings of the same configuration burst into radiance as he rocketed skyward, wings spread wide, circling high above Zhao Wuji's head.
If it were merely a matter of teamwork, the coordination between Flandre and Zhao Wuji was nothing short of flawless. One charged on the ground, one soared in the air. The combined pressure from two Soul Douluos encompassed virtually the entire space.
The Shrek Five Devils exchanged smiles.
Amid the violent crackling of bones, the
Right behind Dai Mubai,
Though the Shrek Five Devils had not fought together in years, the tacit understanding they had once forged had not faded. Before the match, they had briefly coordinated their strategy. Now, Dai Mubai took the forefront, Tang San held the center, with
In terms of sheer imposing presence, the Shrek Five Devils were clearly outmatched. After all, the gap in Soul Power between them and the two deans was simply too vast. The pressure two Soul Douluos could generate was not something they could yet rival.
And yet, even though their collective aura fell short of the deans', they showed not a shred of retreat within the crushing waves of that pressure. Like an ironclad warship cutting through storm and gale, they remained utterly unmoved by the tempest raging around them.
On the other side,
The instant her voice fell, Zhao Wuji was the first to move. He charged forward with heavy, thunderous strides, hurtling straight toward Dai Mubai at the front. His first Soul Skill, the Immovable Bright King Body, was already active. His entire body was wreathed in a golden shimmer, the terrifying Soul Power fluctuations making him look like a siege engine rumbling forward in a deafening roar.
Facing Zhao Wuji's charge, Dai Mubai had no intention of retreating. The White Tiger Protective Barrier erupted simultaneously, his entire body taut as a drawn bow, ready to spring at any moment.
High overhead, Flandre suddenly surged higher, his body spiraling skyward in a dizzying ascent until he reached a hundred meters above. His eagle eyes gazed down below, all eight Soul Rings alternating in brilliant flashes — impossible to tell which Soul Skill he was about to unleash.
"Fall back," Tang San's calm voice rang in Dai Mubai's ear. Without a moment's hesitation, Dai Mubai's figure blasted backward. As the ebb and flow of their auras shifted, Zhao Wuji's momentum surged. He accelerated, charging straight at the five of them.
"Now!" Tang San shouted. A circle of pure, luminous blue light bloomed from his body, and in the next instant, Zhao Wuji felt his entire frame constrict. Mid-stride, he had already crashed into an impenetrable barrier.
Tang San's fourth Soul Skill — Blue Silver Prison — activated.
A cage of Blue Silver Grass materialized around Zhao Wuji, trapping him within. At the same time, the Blue Silver Domain being unleashed simultaneously rendered the prison extraordinarily solid. What shocked Zhao Wuji even more was that the Blue Silver Grass across the training grounds had begun growing in a frenzy, wave after wave surging toward his position.
His heart clenched. Zhao Wuji had suffered Tang San's tricks before, and at a moment like this, he did not hesitate for even a fraction of a second. He immediately unleashed his seventh Soul Skill — Martial Soul True Body.
His already imposing body swelled violently. Under the full release of his Soul Power, in the span of a single breath, Zhao Wuji's frame expanded to a towering seven meters. The Blue Silver Prison confining him was split apart by his massive body. But what truly stunned Zhao Wuji was that cage after cage of Blue Silver Grass continued to sprout from every direction around him. No matter how large he grew, the prisons surrounding him grew in tandem. By the time he completed his Martial Soul True Body transformation, he could no longer see the outside world. Layer upon layer of Blue Silver Prisons had sealed him tight within.
The watching students were utterly dumbfounded. Not in their wildest imagining had they anticipated this scene. As far as the eye could see, every strand of Blue Silver Grass on the ground seemed to have come alive, growing with wild abandon, continuously adding layer upon layer of barriers around Zhao Wuji's body until the vice-dean had been completely buried beneath them.
What astonished them even more, however, was Tang San himself. At this moment, his entire body had transformed into a luminous, crystalline blue. The surrounding Blue Silver Grass seemed to radiate from him as their center, countless pale blue motes of light streaming ceaselessly toward him.
This was the true essence of the Blue Silver Domain. Only in a place teeming with Blue Silver Grass could its full power be truly unleashed.
Watching the scene unfold below, not only were the students stunned — even Flandre, poised to attack from the air, and the other four members of the Shrek Five Devils were completely taken aback. None of them could fathom why Tang San's fourth Soul Skill possessed such overwhelming might, enough that even Zhao Wuji, who had already activated his Martial Soul True Body, appeared unable to break free for the moment.
What Tang San now controlled was not merely the Blue Silver Grass on the training grounds before him — it was every single strand of Blue Silver Grass within the entirety of Shrek Academy's grounds. Within this vast forest, every blade of Blue Silver Grass had become his eyes. Those scattered points of blue light were the vitality and information gathered and condensed by the Blue Silver Grass, converging upon Tang San's body.
Through the power of the Blue Silver Domain, these strands of Blue Silver Grass were not only accelerating their growth but had instantaneously linked with Tang San himself. Under these conditions, the Blue Silver Domain was continually nourished, and both its range and its power increased by geometric multiples. This was precisely why Tang San's fourth Soul Skill — Blue Silver Prison — had been enough to restrain Zhao Wuji.
