"Guild Master?"
Huo Wu watched as Shi Feng suddenly collapsed to the ground and immediately activated Wind Walk, rushing over to him.
Fei Ying standing nearby was completely stunned.
He had no idea what had just happened.
"Guild Master, what's wrong?" Huo Wu asked anxiously, noticing how deathly pale his face had become.
Divine Realm was, after all, a game. Even if a player entered a weakened state, their stats would simply drop — there was no way a player's actual mental condition could be affected.
"I'm fine, just too tired," Shi Feng said in a low voice. "I need to enter System Sleep Mode to rest. Once you're done looting, go meet up with Shui Se. Remember, don't go anywhere else — just grind monsters at the One-Line Sky."
The War Monkey Leader wasn't an ordinary Leader monster. It was the Leader of White Mist Valley, far beyond what other Leaders could compare to. Without Void Step, even if Huo Wu and the others fought together, the only outcome would have been a retreat.
If he hadn't used Void Step earlier, defeat was the only option. That was why Shi Feng had activated it.
His mental energy had long been pushed to its absolute limit, and now that he'd used Void Step on top of that, he had naturally broken past that limit.
For a player, breaking through one's mental limit wasn't a good thing, which was why the Main God System would automatically issue a warning and force the player into Sleep Mode.
In Sleep Mode, a player could recover their mental energy — it was essentially the same as sleeping, except the rest was deeper and recovery far more thorough.
After giving his instructions to Huo Wu, Shi Feng selected Sleep Mode and logged off to rest.
"Huo Wu, what exactly happened?" Fei Ying hurried over and, seeing that Shi Feng had already logged off, asked in confusion.
"The Guild Master was exhausted and needed to log off to rest. Let's finish looting and head to the One-Line Sky as well," Huo Wu said with a sigh of relief.
"Log off to rest?" Fei Ying's heart jolted, his thoughts racing.
This was the first time he'd ever heard of a player needing to log off to sleep because of a battle.
It wasn't as though Fei Ying had never ground monsters for ten-plus hours straight. Even when tired, all he had to do was eat some food and rest at an inn, and he'd be perfectly fine. Yet now the Guild Master needed to log off to sleep.
But after giving it more thought, Fei Ying figured it made sense.
The War Monkey Leader had been incredibly powerful, yet the Guild Master had managed to kill it solo using that technique — absolutely unbelievable. Having such a significant side effect was nothing strange; if anything, it was only natural.
"If only I could learn that move," Fei Ying thought, recalling the image of Shi Feng in battle, feeling a deep sense of admiration. "But a technique that powerful... asking the Guild Master to teach me would probably be really difficult, wouldn't it..."
"No, I can't give up. If I accomplish great things for Zero Wing, then when I go ask the Guild Master, maybe he'll agree."
With that thought, Fei Ying felt even more devoted to Zero Wing, silently swearing to achieve great deeds for the guild.
"Fei Ying, stop spacing out — we're heading to the One-Line Sky," Huo Wu said quickly after finishing the loot collection, glancing at the dazed Fei Ying with a smile.
She could more or less understand why Fei Ying was so stunned.
For a single person to take on a level 25 Berserk Leader in a straight-up fight — that was nothing short of a miracle in Divine Realm. And on top of that, there was that mysterious technique that completely shattered everything players thought they knew about combat. How could anyone not be shocked?
Compared to Fei Ying, Huo Wu's experience had been even more profound.
Because she was using a Virtual Reality Pod, she had seen everything with far greater clarity, and she could appreciate just how powerful Void Step truly was.
Just watching this single battle was more beneficial than fighting a hundred duels against other experts.
"Oh." Fei Ying snapped out of his daze and hurried to catch up.
