I was mowing down monsters left and right, my Level was going up, and my Skill levels had grown considerably.
And then, at last, Overeating reached Level 10.
Here it comes — Gluttony?
I braced myself, but the name of the evolved skill turned out to be "Satiety LV1."
『Satiety: Allows consumption of meals beyond the limit. When doing so, HP, MP, and SP are restored. Additionally, excess can be stored. The excess is stored as pure energy, so you won't gain weight. The amount that can be stored increases with level.』
Gluttony didn't come, but the ability was still incredible.
Basically, the effect that had previously applied only to SP now also applied to HP and MP.
The amount of excess that could be stored seemed to be lower compared to SP, but that didn't change the fact that it was amazing.
Even just having my naturally low HP padded out was a cause for celebration.
Plus, it also had the Perseverance effect, so the more HP and MP I had, the higher my survival rate would be.
MP had always been in excess anyway, so being able to store it meant less waste.
However, the weight-gain prevention didn't really benefit me.
I mean, I wasn't gaining weight to begin with.
Why was that?
The description of Overeating had said I'd gain weight equal to the stored amount, and since I'd been storing right up to the limit, I should have been pretty fat. But in reality, I wasn't fat at all.
Whether it was due to my special spider physiology, I wasn't sure. But since I wouldn't be gaining weight from this point on anyway, I decided not to worry about it.

The stored amount from Overeating had already hit the cap before my Level went up.
The cap appeared to be Level times 100, and I'd been stuck at 900.
The evolution to Satiety increased the cap a bit, but it would probably hit 1000 and stop again.
When you can't store any more, the Japanese instinct kicks in and you start thinking it's wasteful not to use it up.
So from then on, I made a point of consuming more SP during normal movement.
Specifically, I advanced by jumping around and running.
By doing this, I ground out Skill Proficiency in Idaten and other skills.
Thanks to that, Idaten and the other skills leveled up.
Burst and Endurance also leveled up, and finally hit the cap.
They evolved.
They evolved into Flash Step and Hardiness respectively, and now growth bonuses were added.
With this, every time I leveled up, all my stats would receive a plus bonus.
Well, thanks to Wisdom, my magic-related stats grew abnormally high, and I already had high speed from the Idaten I started with.
Hmm.
I was originally a high-mobility physical type, but looking at my stats alone, I'd become a high-mobility magic type.
The cause of this dramatic transformation was Wisdom, but whether I'd actually become a magic type... was debatable.
My magic-related skill levels had gone up, sure.
But they still couldn't compare to Spider Venom.
In the end, if I was going to fight seriously, Spider Venom was my trump card, and magic was just support.
Well, it couldn't be helped.
I'd been getting by with just Spider Silk and Spider Venom this whole time.
If some upstart magic easily surpassed them, I'd feel kind of conflicted about all the hard work I'd put in.

Being stuck in the Middle Layer meant I couldn't use it even though it had evolved into All-Purpose Thread.
Once I reached the Upper Layer, I'd build a nest right away and spend some time there doing Skill research.
