The response from the knight who looked like a rear commander was a merciless order.
"Keep moving."
"Don't you guys value your lives too?!"
"It doesn't matter. Move. Why do you think we mobilized such a massive number of adventurers? If you don't advance, I'll execute you right here and now."
Smoke ahead, knights behind.
Either way, death was the only option, so I was done playing along.

While many adventurers were torn between pressing forward or fighting the knights to carve out an escape route, I quietly activated my most powerful sleep magic.
A translucent blue beauty danced around the adventurers, and one by one, they all collapsed.

Putting them to sleep alone might have killed them, so I used area healing magic to restore the lost stamina of the adventurers.
"Hey, what is this magic?! Why are the adventurers asleep?! It's too early for that — wake up, you adventurers!!"
The knights shouted furiously, but since I'd forcibly put them to sleep, "too early" had nothing to do with it.
"Only one person isn't asleep — was that your doing?!"
"You got it! Next up — [Marionette Chain]"
"A- black chains are sticking to my chest... I can't move my body! What's going on?!"
Using the Dark Magic spell [Marionette Chain], the entire knight order became my puppets.
Since they were magical chains, they made no jangling sound, but countless black chains extending from my right hand connected to the chests of the Douglas knights.
"What do you think you're doing?! What are these chains?! I can't move — release this!"
"No way~ Now then, let's keep moving~"
Step, step, step — the knights advanced in perfect formation.
"My body is moving on its own, ah-ah-ah-ah..."

That's what happens when you continuously cast gravity magic on yourself as training.
I'd hate to stop training and then run into a powerful enemy and die.
The knights were terrified as their bodies moved against their will, but the one who had been playing rear commander shouted at me.
"Hey, stop! That Canary adventurer just told us it was too dangerous to go further! Are you trying to kill us?!"
"Keep moving."
"Huh?!"
"Wait — you just told us to 'keep moving,' didn't you?"
"Damn it, brat — just wait until we get out of here! Remember what happens when you make an enemy of Lord Douglas!"
"Doesn't matter. Move. The path ahead is clear. I'll report to the Earl waiting in the town at the base that 'the brave knight order advanced as far as they could after the adventurers fell.'"

And so, we all marched in orderly formation toward the depths — a death march in perfect step.

Their breathing was labored, but I forced them to keep walking.
Then some started rolling their eyes back, but there was no way I'd let them fall, so I made them keep walking toward the depths.
"Hey, come on, that's enough... please, help us..."
Some knights who still had the energy to speak called out as they walked.
"Did you have any intention of helping when the adventurers said the same thing to you? Probably not. So we're continuing as is."
