"Then I'll consider the contract sealed with those words. [Sacred Magic] — 'Pledge of the Sacred Scroll,' activate! ...This magical contract is now binding."
What an overkill for such a trivial contract.
The guild master at Dorkan's adventurer guild secretly mocked the young adventurer's excessive caution.
The value of a Rainbow Drop was beyond measure.
Two hundred million gold coins would be pocket change.
Just the commission from the Grandl Gem Trade alone could easily bring in ten million coins.
Even paying this kid a million would leave change to spare.
If he'd just left it at market value, he'd have walked away with more — but instead he'd wasted an extravagant contract spell fit for a high priest, all for a handful of loose change sitting right in front of him.
Weaklings who don't know the value of things only get devoured.
Let him learn that the hard way — gahahaha!

The guild master who received the Rainbow Drop from Alan promptly handed it over to the Grandl Gem Trade, Dorkan branch.
He'd been promised a personal reward and a transfer to the Royal Capital's Adventurer Guild headquarters — all that remained was to wait for the notification to arrive.

I entered a Gold-rank dungeon once more.
And then I used [Reverse] on the appearance rate of Rainbow Drops from treasure chests in this dungeon!
The very first treasure chest that appeared yielded a Rainbow Drop.
Now then — next I'd have Alisa change her gender and set up the play at Dorkan's adventurer guild.
"Apparently a Rainbow Drop came out of a Gold-rank dungeon treasure chest! You might still find one if you go now!"
I made sure to tell every single person I could, and used [Wind Magic]'s "Whisper Voice" to deliver this sweet deal of information to people who were further away.
I left the guild, waited a little while, then used [Phantom Thief Gentleman]'s "Disguise" skill to transform into a rough-looking thug, re-entered the guild, and shouted at the top of my lungs.
"Listen up, everyone! A Rainbow Drop actually dropped! Here it is, take a look! If anyone here's got [Appraisal], feel free to check it!"
I ostentatiously flashed the Rainbow Drop around.
"Yeah right, no way that's real. A Rainbow Drop? Let me see that."
Conveniently, an adventurer with [Appraisal] happened to be right there, so I let him verify it.
"It's real...! Hey, where in the dungeon did you find it? Tell me too!"
I generously shared the truth with him.
"Sure, I'm feeling generous. It came from a treasure chest right after I entered the dungeon. Hurry and you might get one too! I'm gonna be rich before any of you!"
The adventurer who'd half-heartedly used [Appraisal] on my Rainbow Drop bolted silently toward the guild exit.
Of course, this whole exchange had already been broadcast to everyone via Whisper Voice.
"No time for drinking!"
"Cancel every other quest! Let's go!"
"Out of my way! I'm going first!"
And so the adventurers on site scrambled over each other at the exit, racing one another toward the dungeon.
"Um, uh, everyone! There's no way you'll actually find one, so why can't you see that... Not a single person is left to take quests..."
A different receptionist from the one who'd guided Alan's Rainbow Drop request stood there in stunned disbelief.
I stepped outside the guild, dropped the Disguise skill, and approached the front desk.
"Excuse me, are there any open quests? I'd like to take on as many as possible, if I can."
"Thank you! You'll take them? Oh wonderful — then this one, this one, that one, and oh, this one too while you're at it..."
I felt a little bad, so I figured I'd at least take on a few quests — but before I knew it, they'd smoothly saddled me with long-abandoned salt-cured quests as well.
Guild receptionists are really something else.

Several days later.
"Guild Master, it's terrible! The Rainbow Drops..."
The male receptionist burst into the guild master's room, face pale as a sheet.
"What is it? Don't tell me they found a second one? That's more profit for us!"
"That's just it... Rainbow Drops are being brought in in massive quantities — there's a line of adventurers stretching out the door to turn them in!"
