I entered a Gold-rank dungeon in Dokan.
The dungeon was about a two- or three-day walk from town. It was a cave type, but the walls faintly glowed, so with a scout-type skill, visibility wasn't a problem.
Occasionally crossing paths with other adventurers, I wandered aimlessly, looking for treasure chests here and there.
They'd be at the end of a dead-end corridor, hidden in secret rooms, or appear after I'd wiped out all the monsters in a monster house.
Inside was always something mundane—regular potions, steel swords, nothing special.
Since they take decades to find, of course you're not going to spot one right away.
"Looking for treasure too?"
The one who spoke to me was a party of three men.
"Yeah, pretty much."
"We're treasure hunters. Specialists in dungeon treasure chests, you know."
"Oh, really?"
"Well, if there's something good in there, we might have to fight over it."
With that, the trio went on their way.
They called themselves treasure hunters, but they looked like nothing more than a band of three thieves.
