The moment Alan activated his Infinity Reverse, Achilles — already enveloped in light — vanished from the spot.
"What happened to Achilles?"
"My Infinity Reverse forces the target to possess a person from the past and relive the punishment memories I've carved into this world. Once the cycle completes, it sends them back to the very beginning and starts the replay all over again."
"That's brutal…"
"This is an original spell I developed by incorporating the Reverse skill. Unless I stop the activation, it just keeps flipping from end to beginning over and over in an infinite loop. The trade-off is that I can't use the Reverse skill while it's active, though."

Once Achilles was gone, the New Kingdom ceased to exist — not a single mention of it remained in any history book. Instead, it was simply recorded that the current king and his heirs had all died in unfortunate accidents, and Duke Geese ascended to the throne.
One might have expected rebuilding the nation's governing apparatus — which Achilles had torn apart so thoroughly — to be an enormous undertaking. However, Geese had already assembled ministers and other officials in preparation for the day he might become king, so he simply adopted that framework as-is, and the chaos was surprisingly minimal.

Cain married Agrys.
The Vermilion family's head had died, and the young Cain couldn't manage the household on his own, so the Butterfly family stepped in as guardians.
Because any attempt to take another woman as a partner would send searing pain through his body, Cain could only be with Agrys.
In truth, I think I could use my Reverse skill to make Agrys beautiful, but I haven't unlocked the Infinity Reverse yet, so I can't test it.
Depending on how Cain behaves, maybe I'll give it a try?

The Saintess is still running around everywhere, trying to win back the faith of the people.
She serves as Acting Pope, but apparently she's so busy that she wants to elect a new Pope as quickly as possible.
And she makes no effort to involve me whatsoever.
Because I made a promise.
If they break that promise, I'll turn the devout believers of the Saintess against her.

Enrique became the Grandmaster of the Adventurer's Guild and began working on educating adventurers.
Don't pick fights with just anyone and everyone.
Don't use Appraise on people without permission.
Don't underestimate someone just because they're a kid.
Pay the proper price at the brothel.
And so on and so forth.
Apparently, he's giving the reception staff the same kind of training.

Kachō has been tracking down all the victims so far and providing them treatment.
For those who can't be found right away, I use Perfect Search to track them down myself.
For those whose minds have been broken, I heal them with my universal recovery magic, Resurrection.
For those who don't want to go back to where they were, or can't go back, Geese finds them suitable workplaces.
Of course, clean and fair workplaces.
