Daytona, master of the dark guild 'Diamond,' found himself the sole survivor of the scene in a matter of moments.
One of the trump cards Daytona held was...
"You possess [Super Intuition]. That's how you escaped those flames. But I'm afraid it triggers randomly and won't activate twice in a row. There will be no miracles for you."
But this was no time to panic yet. This is where I truly shine.
"Heh. Alan. Are you sure you should be hanging around here?"
"What do you mean?"
"Sophia — she was a receptionist at the Royal Capital Commerce Guild, wasn't she? I hear two people with useless skills are happily dating each other."

Appearing soundlessly before Alan and Daytona were the Raging Duke's chief butler and the Royal Capital Commerce Guild receptionist.
"Wha—!?"
Daytona's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Master Alan, your guard was lax. If Her Highness hadn't asked me to keep an eye on Sophia, who knows what might have happened."

Oh, right — I gave Sophia a ring as a good-luck charm.
Using [Truth Seeker], I crafted a ring that projects a defensive barrier when its wearer is in danger, and teleports them to my location if the barrier is about to break.
Though mentioning it would be rather unseemly.

"Impossible! The Raging Duke's household getting in our 'Diamond's' way?! Do you have any idea how much dirty work we've done for your royal family?! You shameless ingrates!"
Daytona was absolutely livid.
"I don't know anything about your relationship with the royal family, but since this is where you end, there's no need to get so worked up."
With that, he cleaved deep into Daytona with the Radiant Guardian Sword. And while he was at it, he took [Super Intuition] too.
"Guuuaaargh! Gaha... I was never supposed to need this... Everyone dies with me! [Super Self-Detonation]!!"
Daytona's entire body began to glow white, but having seen something similar before, preparations were already in place.
A technique seen once will never work again!
"[Holy Magic] Crash Skill!"
The beam of white light from his hand pierced Daytona's center, and the glow began to fade.
"S-so... not even allowed to self-detonate..."
Alan completely shut Daytona down and watched over him until his last breath.

Several days later, at the Raging Duke's residence.
"With the Pope absent, it seems the declaration of heresy against Alan has been officially withdrawn under the Saint's name."
Geese told me this, though the timing felt rather anticlimactic.
"As for the dark guild..."
"The connection between 'Diamond' and the royal family? Something along the lines of the royal family's dark secrets having been exposed beyond their ability to control?"
"Essentially, yes... They were this country's cancer. You don't seem interested, so I'll get to the main point — please accept this."
That was when Nina approached carrying something.
"An Orichalcum-class tag. Please accept it. You've performed deeds worthy of this honor."
Respectfully, Nina held out a vivid orange tag.
Though honestly, calling them "meritorious deeds" doesn't quite sit right. I simply defeated the enemies standing in my way.
