Earth System magic was from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Fire System magic ran from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Water System was from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Wind System from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Lightning System from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Light System from 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
Most students, however, only studied a single system, needing just two hours of class per day. Lin Lei was a dual-system student, but that still meant only four hours of classes daily. Moreover, attendance was optional; you could go if you wished, or skip it if you didn't. No one forced you.
The Earth System was divided into six grades, each with its own dedicated building. Beginners and Level 1 mages were in the first grade, Level 2 mages in the second, Level 3 in the third, and so on. Reaching Level 6 mage put you in the sixth grade.
Sixth-grade students could apply for graduation at any time. Of course, you could also choose to continue studying.
On February 10th, in the first-grade Earth System classroom.
The classroom was enormous, with several hundred seats alone. At this moment, over twenty students were already present. Lin Lei found a seat near the front and sat down. By 8:00, more than fifty students filled the room.
"I guess only some of them are new students here. I wonder how many years the others have been studying," Lin Lei thought to himself.
After all, it typically took a beginner several years of effort just to reach the Level 2 mage stage.
"Hello, everyone," said the amiable, middle-aged man with brown hair standing at the front of the classroom. "My name is Wendy. I'm your Earth System magic teacher. Today, we have nearly twenty new students joining us. As always, we'll have the new and old students introduce themselves one by one so we can get acquainted."
Immediately, students began coming up to introduce themselves.
"My name is Gerhan. I come from the great grasslands in the far east."
Hearing this young boy named Gerhan introduce himself, Lin Lei was surprised. "It really does include people from all over the Yulan Continent. There's even someone from the great grasslands in the far eastern region of the Yulan Continent."
In the geography of the Yulan Continent.
The
"My name is Lin Lei. I'm from the Holy Alliance," Lin Lei also walked to the very front of the classroom and gave a brief self-introduction.
Once all the students had finished introducing themselves, the Earth System mage Wendy launched into some praise for Earth System magic. It was only during the second half of the class that Teacher Wendy finally began his lecture on Earth System magic.
Lin Lei and the group of children below listened attentively. Beside Lin Lei, Derinkoort even materialized to observe.
"This Wendy has a very solid foundation. Although his strength isn't particularly formidable, when it comes to teaching Level 1 mages, even if you hired an eighth or ninth-level mage, they might not lecture as well as he does," Derinkoort nodded in admiration.
Lin Lei was already very familiar with Earth System magic, so listening now was quite easy.
"But Grandpa Derinkoort, while his foundation is solid, his teaching isn't as insightful or profound as yours. It seems a bit complex," Lin Lei remarked.
Derinkoort nodded with a proud smile, his white beard even curling upward. "Naturally. The understanding of magic possessed by a Holy Domain Grand Mage completely surpasses that of a ninth-level or eighth-level mage. The Holy Domain is an entirely new realm. Naturally, my explanations are clearer and go straight to the essence of magic."
After listening through the entire class, Lin Lei made a decision.
"Starting today, I'll come listen to this Earth System magic class once a month," Lin Lei thought. He didn't want to waste his time.
