"Hm?" Lei Lin pulled up the location the Chip had flagged and saw that deep in his lower abdomen, a ball of milky-white luminescence was steadily radiating outward.
"That's… the divine power from that Bishop earlier!" He was quite sure of it.
"What kind of effect does this radiation have?"

The Chip delivered its answer promptly.
"A blessing from the Gods?" Lei Lin let out a cold laugh. "Nothing more than a privilege of the strong!"
That said, he had no intention of turning down the privilege. With this blessing his growth would certainly outpace other children his age, and when he grew up he would wield greater power and a sturdier physique.

"Is this some kind of relative of mine?" Lei Lin opened his eyes in annoyance, sizing up the careless intruder who had interrupted his thoughts.
She had the same azure eyes he did, with soft golden hair draped across her fair, delicate forehead—lending her a touch of mischievous charm. A pert little nose sat above a small mouth that smiled to reveal adorable little fangs, and on either cheek sat a pair of dimples.
"Isabelle, you're bothering your cousin!" An adult voice sounded from behind, and accompanied by hurried footsteps the little girl was tugged to the side, still grumbling in protest.
"Isabelle, huh? What a bundle of energy…"
From those curious eyes he had just glimpsed, he sensed enormous trouble ahead. She was plainly fascinated by him.
He could already imagine it: with this cousin around, his life was not going to be peaceful for a long, long time.
What made Lei Lin even more exasperated was that in his current body he had absolutely no means to fight back!
"Heavens, please—let that Isabelle go straight home! Ideally to the far end of the continent…" Lei Lin began to pray with desperate sincerity.
Unfortunately, the Will of the World did not seem to be listening.
