It had to be said — after several rounds of bloodline enhancement, Leilin's charm had practically hit its maximum value. He was irresistible to everyone, men and women, young and old alike.

Even Darrenlay couldn't help but blush and lower her head.

Seeing this, even Leilin's composure wavered slightly, and he smiled at Darrenlay.

This immediately sent the female wizards ahead into a frenzy: "Ah! He smiled at me!" "Who said that? He clearly smiled at me!"

Several of the wizards flushed red and nearly came to blows over it.

"Youth is truly wonderful!" Leilin shook his head. Once the airship had landed, he simply strolled away.

"That gentleman is probably a wizard with quite the story!" Darrenlay watched Leilin's retreating figure, a glimmer of curiosity flickering in her eyes.

She herself had decent aptitude — could be considered naturally talented — and was hardworking and diligent enough to have advanced to First-rank Wizard at such a young age, even taking firm steps in elemental transformation.

But even so, her previous probes toward Leilin, driven by curiosity, had vanished without a trace — like a clay cow swallowed by the sea. This immediately made her realize that Leilin was no ordinary wizard.

Unfortunately, her companions didn't see it that way. Glancing at her lovestruck friends, Darrenlay sighed helplessly…

"Triljon City really hasn't changed at all!"

Standing before the towering city walls, the massive volcanic city seemed identical to his memories, though the marks of time upon the walls had grown more pronounced.

Leilin couldn't help but recall his first visit, and that poor wizard — Jenna, along with the Meditation Method she had inherited — Sacred Light Candleflame!

Displaying his wizard identity casually, Leilin entered Triljon City without any obstruction.

The city was as bustling as ever, divided into several tiers. Leilin extended his soul force and quickly located the villa he had once occupied, but now both the magical arrays and furnishings had been completely changed, and another wizard lived inside.

Seeing this, Leilin shook his head, losing all interest in further investigation. Instead, he wandered into a bar at random.

Though he had already gathered the general intelligence along the way, there were still some recent developments he needed to learn about, especially concerning the Soul-Slaying Cult.

Moreover, now that he was here, Aivik and the other wizards couldn't escape, so Leilin could afford to wait patiently.

"Blood of my family! Answer my will and come here!"

A trace of crimson appeared in Leilin's eyes, and then terrifying soul force radiated outward. But because the power of the Morning Star was far too advanced, none of the wizards in the entire Triljon City noticed.

Only, the several wizards Leilin had specifically focused on all felt an extremely ominous premonition.

Snap! A steel pen shattered as Aivik shot to his feet, clutching his chest. "This feeling? What on earth is going on?"

A wizard's premonitions were often remarkably accurate, and Aivik was a Third-level Wizard who had relied on such instincts many times before to avoid numerous crises.

Now a similar situation had arisen, but the palpitations were ten times worse than anything he had experienced before! How could he possibly remain at ease?

"Someone! Come!" he bellowed.

"How may we serve, my lord?" Outside the grand doors, several elderly wizards entered and bowed respectfully.

"What has the Soul-Slaying Cult been doing recently? I need all of their intelligence — everything!" Aivik's expression was dark.

"As you command!" The other wizards immediately accepted the order with deference, their expressions as humble as if they were beholding the deity they worshipped.

Third-level Wizards were the absolute upper echelon on the South Coast! After the Third Wizard War and the campaign against the Soul-Slaying Cult, the massive casualties among the powerful had made the surviving Third-level Wizards even more influential and authoritative. And Aivik, stationed in the great base of Triljon City, was one of the very top wizards among the White Wizard faction.

His orders were carried out with the utmost determination. Before long, everything related to the Soul-Slaying Cult, no matter how detailed, was laid out on Aivik's desk.

"Is this all?" He flipped through the documents expressionlessly and suddenly asked.

"My lord! All the recent activity reports on the Soul-Slaying Cult are here. The Soul-Slaying Cultists who have been filtering through recently appear to be hunting someone — they don't seem to be deliberately carrying out massacres or harvesting souls!"

One of the elderly wizards immediately bowed and reported.

"Hmm! I've read your report as well! A Second-rank Wizard leading the pursuit... it seems the quarry is no ordinary person either..."

Aivik sat back down, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

The elderly wizard looked hesitant, and seeing this, Aivik felt a flash of irritation. "Is there something else? Don't you dare hide anything from me!"

"My lord! I wouldn't dare!" The wizard was so frightened he dropped to his knees to beg forgiveness. "It's just that regarding the wizard being pursued, there are some faint rumors circulating, but without solid evidence, we didn't dare draw any conclusions..."

"Speak!" Aivik's expression grew even darker.
