Chapter 586 — Departure and Heart Palpitations

According to Leylin's understanding, body constitution represented both defensive capability and recovery rate.

His current constitution of 74.9 was already a terrifying figure approaching that of ancient creatures.

With his body as it was now, ordinary first-tier and second-tier Wizard Arts could not breach his defenses at all. Even third-tier Wizard Arts would only inflict minor wounds that would heal almost immediately.

The self-healing power granted by such an astonishing constitution was truly terrifying.

After completing his full inspection, Leylin nodded with great satisfaction.

"With my current body's strength, even if the seal on the Arms of the Multi-Armed were to suddenly shatter, it would still hold up for a considerable period. And if I can obtain the title of Sage and receive the gift of the Arcane Scepter, then the side effects from the Spiritual Power surge should be essentially resolved!"

Sky City — Leylin had no choice but to go there.

Although it was the domain of the Sky Throne, and venturing there as a Warlock could bring him trouble, this was simply the easiest method the Chip had identified.

Secret arts and body-tempering Wizard Arrays capable of enhancing a Morning Star's constitution were exceedingly rare across the entirety of the Central Continent.

And Leylin himself was a Warlock whose foundation was already exceptional, which made matters even more difficult.

The Chip had synthesised all of Leylin's experiences and knowledge, along with the vast archives within the Ouroboros Ring, and the three methods it had produced were the best pathways available.

However, the first method required a transformation Wizard Array about which Leylin currently had no leads — he only knew from some myth that it was located within certain ruins somewhere in the Central Continent.

For Leylin, venturing into unknown ruins on such a gamble was far too troublesome and would certainly involve considerable danger.

As for the third method, he had just undergone it and it was impossible to repeat in the short term. Not only would it have no effect, but it could also produce undesirable side effects.

That left Sky City and the Arcane Scepter as the most rational choice — the second option.

Of course, Leylin was quite confident about making the journey. He was currently at the peak of Morning Star, someone capable of escaping from a Radiant Moon Wizard at the fifth tier. Ordinary enemies would not dare provoke him.

And the two Sun's Child bloodline imprints he carried gave him more than enough assurance!

Sky City was the Sky Throne's stronghold — they certainly would not want a sixth-tier battle breaking out there!

"Besides, I've never provoked the Sky Throne in the first place. As long as I watch out for Jupiter's Thunder, that should be enough…"

Leylin stroked his chin and fell into deep thought.

……

Several days later, on the outskirts of the Phosphor Marsh.

A sleek, teardrop-shaped private Airship, black throughout, shot up into the sky. In just a few short minutes, it vanished beyond the horizon.

On the tower, several figures stood watching the Airship rise into the air, motionless, until it disappeared from sight entirely.

"Relax, Free!" Emma patted the back of Free's hand, her face full of maternal warmth. "Leylin is now comparable to a Fifth Grade Warlock! Nothing will happen to him!"

"That's right! Leylin is incredibly strong. All we need to do is handle the Ouroboros Ring's affairs properly!" Gilbert chimed in from the side.

"You're both right, my Lords!" Free gave a slight curtsy, but the worry in her eyes had not entirely faded.

After all, Leylin was heading to the territory of a Sky Throne holder this time. What if something happened? Free didn't dare let her thoughts wander any further.

"Haha... Little Free, ever since you got married, you've become someone even your teacher barely recognizes!"

Emma grabbed Free's hand and began to instruct her earnestly. "Don't worry about anything else. The most important thing right now is to bear the Farrell family's bloodline... That boy Leylin has no shortage of secrets, but his Comoan Giant Serpent bloodline is the finest I have ever seen! No — it is the finest among all Comoan Giant Serpent Warlocks! If such a bloodline cannot be passed on, it would truly be a pity..."

"Teacher, what are you saying?" Free protested with a blush, rosy clouds blooming across her cheeks, though she had finally set aside at least a sliver of her worry.

……

Boom! The Giant Serpent parted the clouds, shrugged off the hurricanes, and burst straight through the troposphere into the higher reaches of the sky.

Through the glass windows, fierce sunlight streamed down. Below lay an endless expanse of white clouds — a breathtaking, boundless sea of beauty.

This private Airship was incredibly fast, yet in such a setting, the speed was imperceptible. Everything seemed to stand perfectly still.

After setting the autopilot, Leylin settled into the sofa alone, a glass of red wine in hand, gazing at the scenery through the windows with a distant look in his eyes.

"This time... I really did Free a disservice." After a long moment, he let out a deep sigh.

Ever since returning from the Lava World, Leylin had been extraordinarily busy — actively reclaiming lost territory and reaching out to other bloodline organizations, leaving Free somewhat neglected in the process.

And now, he was about to set off alone, traveling to the City of Sky by himself.

Although Free had been strong enough not to show it, Leylin could still feel her worry at their parting.
