Spiritual Power Seeds were simply condensed Spiritual Power.
And a Spiritual Power Seed that had fallen into an alien world would receive no replenishment whatsoever.
Whether it was the earlier probing or the transmission and reception of information, all of it required enormous amounts of Spiritual Power. Once that Spiritual Power was fully consumed, the Seed of Spiritual Power would naturally perish.
Inside the Magus World, within the massive Wizard Tower.
The terrifying foreign-plane Magical Array had stopped trembling, its threads of radiance gradually fading.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! I had just established the connection…"
Leilin's eyes were shot through with bloodshot veins, and his entire being teetered on the verge of madness.
"That was an entire world!!! An independent, complete world!!! With absolutely no outside force controlling it—how many attempts would it take to find something like that…"
He clutched his forehead and groaned.
"Foreign-plane Magical Array operation complete. Main array structure damage: 0.19%. Astral Stone consumption: 37.98%!" At that moment, the Chip relayed its additional data.
"The Astral Stone!" Leilin gestured, and the Astral Stone at the center of the array flew back into his hand.
But the Astral Stone had already shrunk by nearly a third of its original volume, and its glow had turned noticeably dim.
Under normal circumstances, a single Astral Stone of this size could sustain foreign-plane experiments for a long time. Yet this time, Leilin had discovered an alien world, and merely maintaining the Spiritual Power link between the two sides had devoured a staggering amount of the Stone's internal energy.
"What a waste…"
Leilin's expression remained blank for a long while before he finally recovered, clarity returning to his eyes.
"With no spatial route and no coordinates, the discovery of the Black Rain World was completely accidental!"
"Fortunately, before the connection between the two sides was severed, the information still managed to come through. At least I didn't come away empty-handed—otherwise, I would have spat blood…"
Leilin's face was grim.
"Multi-Armed Tribe physical cultivation method compilation complete!" At that moment, the Chip had also finished systematically organizing the data it had obtained.
Although that alien of Morning Star strength had called itself a member of the Quark Tribe, Leilin had insisted on his own name for them, and the Chip naturally followed his lead.
The Multi-Armed Tribe's foundational training methods were quite fragmented, with many areas still vague. Though these were merely basic contents, that Multi-Armed Tribe elder had clearly tampered with a few things.
But for the Chip, none of this posed any problem. It could immediately systematize everything, even extrapolating further to extract additional insights.
"It seems to share some similarities with the Brand Swordsman and Steel Knight cultivation methods…" With Leilin's current level of insight, discerning such connections was quite simple.
Many of the Magus World's ancient professions had originally been developed along the power paths of other worlds, so finding some similarities was entirely normal.
"Chip, compile all three into a unified research dataset…"
Leilin issued his command.
"Task established. Beginning parallel data processing!" the Chip responded promptly.
Leilin actually held some interest in the Brand Swordsman cultivation method he possessed, but the material in his hands was incomplete—at most it could produce First-rank cannon fodder, which was essentially useless to him now.
Let alone the fact that for a Morning Star Wizard, human-wave tactics were completely ineffective. A single Morning Star Domain could make low-level Wizards wish for death.
Still, having more subordinates was always a good thing. If he could develop Second-rank or Third-rank Brand Swordsman cultivation methods, it would substantially bolster the strength under his command.
For Leilin, who held territory of his own, the investment was well worth it.
Moreover, certain Multi-Armed Tribe training techniques and special breakthrough methods appeared to offer useful references for resolving the bloodline bottleneck that plagued him, which made Leilin even more attentive.
He did not face a bottleneck in advancing to Morning Star, but the fact that a Komoyin Giant Serpent Warlock could never break past the Fifth Rank still loomed over him like an immovable mountain.
…
The Wizard Tower remained sealed for several consecutive months.
Outside, Pike and the others could see the Wizard Tower roaring and surging as it drew in massive quantities of elemental particles every few days.
This phenomenon was caused by the Positive-Negative Energy Reaction Pools running at full capacity to supply the foreign-plane Magical Array.
Beyond their astonishment, they could not help but marvel at Leilin's wealth.
A Third-rank Wizard capable of sustaining a single experiment for this long was an exceedingly rare sight across the entire Central Continent. The Astral Stone reserves alone would be enough to bankrupt numerous Wizards.
"Lord Marquis Leilin… truly is…"
His own subordinates felt this way, and outside visitors were even more astonished—such as the foreign Sorcerer standing before them now.
The Sorcerer who had arrived possessed a refined appearance, which was common among Sorcerers, but the pure fluctuations of Komoyin Giant Serpent bloodline emanating from his body made Pike and the others dare not take him lightly; they even felt a shade beneath him.
"The Astral Stone consumed in that experiment alone would probably be enough to drive an ordinary Third-rank Wizard to despair, wouldn't it?"
