"Regardless of the gains and losses, it's time to leave!"
Leilin also nodded in agreement with Robin's proposal.
His gains this time were considerable, and he'd long had the intention to withdraw. More importantly, among the pursuers who had entered this time, Tannasha had been directly subdued, the green-skinned barbarian wizard was severely wounded and had to pay a large sum of rare materials before being released. As for the group that had pursued Robin, one look told that they were in grave danger.
These were all third-rank crystallization powerhouses! The three major factions outside were probably going to be furious.
By the time they reacted again, what Leilin and his group would face was likely a combined assault from all three major factions.
On Leilin's side, the Horar Black Snake warlocks brought by Robin and Roya were all dead. Those following Kasha fared no better. And Akzi, whom Leilin had rescued, hadn't come to rendezvous—either he had other plans or had met with misfortune. Their overall strength had greatly diminished.
If they didn't run now, were they just waiting to be killed?
"Fine! I agree too!" Kasha's voice was somewhat helpless. Among this group, her gains were the least—barely enough to compensate for the losses of the other three families' warlocks.
After returning, her family would surely be shaken to its core, greatly weakened.
Worry filled Kasha's eyes.
"As for the return route, the secret realm entrance is absolutely out of the question. We should stick to the original plan—find a weak point in the secret realm's space, then use escape talismans to tear through the exit!" Robin said.
The secret realm entrance would surely be heavily guarded by the three major factions by now. Leilin and Kasha naturally wouldn't suggest going out that way either, and both nodded in agreement.
……
The scorching sun beat down, steam rising from the earth, creating faint distortions in the air.
In one spot, the distortions converged and triggered a terrifying explosion.
A rift tore open in the void, and several figures stumbled out of the passage in disarray.
"With this concentration of energy particles, it seems we've successfully made it out to the Land of Forgetting!"
Leilin sensed the energy particles around him—so thin they were negligible—and the desolate surroundings, and couldn't help but speak.
"That's right! This should be the Tarkhan Desert in the Land of Forgetting, very close to the City of Sin!"
After scouting the surroundings, Robin's face lit up with joy. "Leilin! I didn't expect your ability to calculate spatial weak points to be so outstanding!"
"Indeed! Not only did you find the spatial weak point in the shortest time and avoid the spatial storm, but you also chose the spot closest to the City of Sin!" Kasha praised as well.
Finding spatial weak points within a secret realm was no simple matter. For wizards, it required not only precise and meticulous detection abilities but also terrifying computational power.
"Hehe... it's nothing, just a coincidence!" Leilin rubbed his nose.
These things might be very difficult for ordinary wizards, but for the Chip, they couldn't be simpler.
He had even deliberately chosen the spatial node closest to the City of Sin, all so they could leave this place as quickly as possible.
His gains this time were enormous, and he had a vague sense of foreboding.
It was precisely this premonition that drove him to leave as soon as possible, at any cost—even if it meant revealing a portion of his strength.
"Let's leave here quickly! I keep feeling like something's not right!"
Leilin furrowed his brow. The resources within the Flowing Sand Secret Realm were far too abundant. The Flowing Sand Ancient Castle alone, that core secret realm, was enough to arouse the greed of a Morning Star Wizard, and any Morning Star Wizard was beyond what they could resist right now.
"I have a bad feeling too!"
Robin's face was grim as he nodded in agreement.
Hearing this, Roya and Kasha felt their hearts grow heavy. A wizard's premonition—especially that of advanced wizards like Leilin and Robin—was often eerily accurate, and this was enough to send chills down their spines.
"Do the factions in the Land of Forgetting have any connections with the outside world? Or perhaps some kind of patron backing them?"
The group of wizards hurried along at great speed, and Leilin took the opportunity to ask Robin.
"Connections? They're all a bunch of irredeemable scoundrels who couldn't survive in the Central Continent. How could they have any connections?" Robin scoffed. "They can't even leave the Land of Forgetting. At most, they can lay low in the City of Sin under assumed names..."
Saying this, his expression changed abruptly, and he immediately halted.
"You mean..." Leilin's expression was also very grim, and he nodded.
"What's going on?" Roya was completely bewildered, while Kasha had a thoughtful look. "The factions in the Land of Forgetting and the City of Sin have connections? Or perhaps..."
She dared not continue, but a heavy pressure nonetheless settled over all the wizards' hearts.
"But if we don't go to the City of Sin, what do we do? The airship station there is the most convenient channel for connecting with the outside world." Kasha bit her lip.
"Let's take a detour!" Leilin let out a long breath.
"Although it'll take more time and effort, I've studied the map. A detour would still only pass through some third-rank wizard danger zones. As long as we're careful, there's a good chance of making it through. It'll just cost us a bit of time..."
