Chapter 411: The Banquet

Leilin's pupils instantly transformed into amber-colored vertical slits.

Immediately after, as if provoked, the Komoyin giant serpent bloodline within his body began to churn wildly. Wisps of mysterious power continuously emanated from the bloodline, and his body absorbed them as nourishment.

Under the influence of these mysterious substances, Leilin's Spiritual Power began to rise — slowly but steadily!

"So this is the power of the Komoyin bloodline! Warlocks really do have an overwhelming advantage in this regard!"

Leilin sighed.

The Komoyin giant serpent was a terrifying ancient creature capable of reaching Tier Four in its adult form. This meant that as long as the warlock themselves hadn't yet reached Tier Four, the Komoyin giant serpent bloodline would continuously release enormous amounts of bloodline power, driving the warlock's advancement all the way up to Tier Four.

The situation with other bloodline warlocks was similar, though there were differences. Take the Horalar Black Serpents, for example — their bloodline power would push them to Tier Three and then simply run dry. It wouldn't help them break through the bottlenecks of gaseification, liquefaction, or crystallization. In fact, it could even become a powerful bloodline shackle, obstructing their further advancement!

"My advancement as a warlock, and the smooth progress of my previous breakthroughs — I suspect a large part of it can be attributed to this mysterious energy. And of course, the bloodline shackles that came later are also inseparable from it!" Leilin immediately ordered the Chip to record the properties and composition of this energy for future research.

At that moment, under the influence of his boiling Komoyin giant serpent bloodline, a terrifying phantom of a massive black serpent materialized behind Leilin. Its immense and frigid aura surged outward in all directions.

Fortunately, they were deep underground, and Leilin had specifically set up a wizard array to block all aura leaks — otherwise, the surrounding Wizards and warlocks would certainly have been alerted.

"Hsss!" The colossal phantom of the Komoyin giant serpent flicked its tongue and lunged toward the corroding lizard, moving as though it were a living creature.

Beneath the enormous form of the giant serpent, the corroding lizard was as tiny as a mouse. Even its roar was suppressed, reduced to what sounded like a pitiful whimper.

"Gulp!" The phantom serpent opened its massive jaws and swallowed the corroding lizard whole in a single bite.

"Hm?"

The very instant the phantom serpent swallowed the corroding lizard, Leilin felt the bloodline power surging through his body reach a new level of density. Enormous quantities of bloodline power began to overflow.

According to the Chip's data, his Spiritual Power indicators were skyrocketing like a rocket.

255! 267! 289!!!

The number made one final leap, shooting straight to 299!

The sudden surge in Spiritual Power blurred Leilin's vision, plunging his entire mind into a brief moment of paralysis.

"Compress!"

Leilin's hand traced a magic formula that sank into the gaseification wizard array. Immediately, the entire array erupted with dazzling radiance, enveloping him in a cocoon of light.

Within his sea of consciousness, the silvery Spiritual Power that had begun to run wild immediately started to contract under the enormous pressure.

Vast quantities of spiritual particles were compressed further and further, the silvery glow growing more and more blinding, until finally a wisp of... mist appeared!

This was mist-converted Spiritual Power! The concentrated form of the silvery, light-converted Spiritual Power! Leilin's heart surged with elation at the sight.

The original silvery Spiritual Power had only been a layer of light, but now, it finally had a physical form!

Once the first wisp of Spiritual Power mist had formed, the rest of the Spiritual Power became docile and compliant, and the conversion work suddenly became far easier.

Leilin kept his eyes tightly shut, the aura emanating from his body receding — yet it seemed far more enduring and terrifying than before.

Crack! Crack!

Fine, threadlike fractures spread across the Vaporization Wizard Array beneath him, until the entire array shattered into powder.

And in that very instant, Leilin opened his eyes — the Spiritual Power within his sea of consciousness had been entirely converted into dense mist!

"Ding! The host has entered the Vaporization Stage! Spiritual Power data has changed. Re-collecting!"

The Chip's voice rang out, and after a short while it transmitted a set of data directly before Leilin's eyes.

"Leilin Farell, Warlock Rank 3 (Vaporization). Bloodline: Komoan Giant Serpent. Strength: 23.6. Agility: 20.1. Constitution: 39.1. Spirit: 251.3. Mana: 251 (mana is determined in synchrony with Spiritual Power)."

Although this figure had dropped considerably compared to the explosive surge of Spiritual Power before, it gave Leilin a sense of reassurance.

That earlier surge had been nothing more than a superficial phenomenon — the Spiritual Power had been extremely unstable and its structure far too loose. The quality of such Spiritual Power was exceedingly poor, and without proper condensation and refinement, it would have been tremendously detrimental to his future progress.

And now, although the total quantity had slipped, the quality had risen dramatically!

"Vaporization!"
