"The area where Lord Kaso cast that spell later formed a cluster of active volcanoes that erupt several times a year on average, and every living creature within several hundred miles was affected to the point of extinction, creating a dead zone…" Robin continued explaining to Leilin.
"So this is what happens when a wizard's power pushes the rules to their absolute limit?" Leilin murmured.
"And ever since that incident, every Dawn Star Wizard in the central region jointly signed a peace accord, stipulating that unless extraordinary circumstances arise, Dawn Star killing moves must not be used in the central continent, and environmental destruction on such a massive scale is strictly forbidden!"
Robin smiled bitterly. The destructive range of a Dawn Star killing move was far too terrifying—if it weren't constrained, after just a few major wars there would be nowhere left in the entire central continent habitable enough to live, and it would eventually suffer the same destruction as in ancient times.
"Hah…" Leilin let out a long breath.
That scene had genuinely shaken him to his core.
Although he had previously possessed some memory fragments from the Scorpion Man, Dawn Star beings and Dawn Star wizards were fundamentally different. A normal combination spell that can boost power by a hundred percent is already at the absolute ceiling! But a Dawn Star killing move multiplies power by at least ten times or more!"
Robin shook his head, looking thoroughly unimpressed.
"That's impossible—ordinary magic simply can't sustain that kind of drain! Unless…" Leilin's eyes lit up as something suddenly clicked.
"Exactly! You figured it out immediately! Yes! Only by using innate talent spells that consume very little from the wizard but produce vastly greater power can a Dawn Star killing move be formed! And the high-level Meditation Methods of ancient times—those were designed by ancient wizards through countless generations of experimentation to be the most suitable innate talent spells for combining into Dawn Star killing moves, then solidified into the Sea of Consciousness!"
