Chapter 382: The Curtain Falls

"The main goal was to obtain the power of fate. As for the Fallen Sword, it was merely a byproduct — and one that hasn't even been fully completed yet!"

Lei Lin was in high spirits, even taking the time to explain to Weilin.

In the next moment, a large number of complex alchemical formulas appeared on Lei Lin's hand, streams of radiance sinking into the sword and making the silver-white glow on the Fallen Sword blaze even brighter.

"In truth, this Fallen Sword is a weapon I designed specifically for myself. It's still missing the most crucial step!"

Lei Lin held the sword aloft in his palm.

A flicker of excitement flashed through his eyes.

"Venom of the Toxic Gall!!!"

A terrifying phantom of the Demon King manifested behind him, but this time the Toxic Gall's power did not spread outward in a wide-scale attack. Instead, it contracted entirely onto the Fallen Sword.

Threads of blackness, carrying the aura of death and dread, crept across the entire length of the blade, dimming its silver-white radiance.

By the end, the Fallen Sword had turned completely pitch-black, yet still gleamed with a sharp, cutting luster.

This was the true form of the weapon Lei Lin had forged for himself!

The Toxic Gall's attack range was far too broad, so Lei Lin had bound all of its venom within the Fallen Sword, preventing it from dispersing indiscriminately.

From this point forward, anyone pierced by the Fallen Sword would immediately suffer the terrifying toxicity of the Venom of the Toxic Gall.

Moreover, Lei Lin could replenish the Fallen Sword's poison at any time using his innate wizardry.

This — this was the true form of the warlock-exclusive Magical Item that the Chip had originally designed!

Lei Lin gazed at the black Cross Sword in his hand, unable to conceal the look of delighted surprise on his face. From now on, the power of the Toxic Gall would no longer cause accidental harm to allies. Instead, it could be deployed as a conventional means of attack, dramatically increasing his combat strength.

"One final step remains!"

Lei Lin looked at Weilin, a sharp glint appearing in his eyes.

And Weilin, knowing his own fate, met Lei Lin's gaze without a shred of fear: "I believe that justice and fairness still exist in the Dark Poles Domain. And what you're doing will ultimately be met with retribution!"

"Heh… Justice and fairness?"

Lei Lin shook his head with a laugh: "My glory will be recorded in history and praised. As for the shadows and filth behind all that brilliance, who will even care about them?"

A streak of dark light flashed, and Weilin's head flew off. Even as it tumbled through midair, both his body and his severed head began to rot.

The spurting blood splashed onto the Coin of Destiny, causing the radiance on its surface to dim entirely. The entire coin took on a more ancient, archaic look, and faint traces of a timeless aura emanated from it.

"A final blood sacrifice using a Child of Destiny! Magical Item — the Coin of Destiny — is complete!"

Lei Lin recited the last line of the incantation.

The Magical Item radiating a dark golden glow now rested quietly in his hand.

"Magical Item — the Coin of Destiny! A magical object imbued with a peculiar energy, forged through a blood sacrifice of a Child of Destiny and centered on the Sacred Light Candle Flame Meditation Method. It can guide the direction of the future to a certain extent, though its effects remain uncertain!"

The Chip automatically generated an item description as well, but clearly, even it could not render a precise verdict on this Coin of Destiny. After all, the power of fate was something the current Chip still could not measure or express in data.

As for the so-called Magical Items, they were a classification with rather murky boundaries.

In the Wizard World, there were always certain objects that possessed tremendous power exceeding that of magical artifacts, yet were themselves extremely fragile, or whose functions were too bizarre to fit neatly into the tiers of Magical Items. So they were collectively sorted into the category of Magical Items.

Some Magical Items only carried minor functionalities, while others could unleash horrifying effects comparable to divine artifacts!

A flash of silver light, and the Coin of Destiny vanished, carefully stored away by Lei Lin in his spatial pouch.

"Wipe out every last Dark Elf and revolutionary soldier! And any Dark Poles Domain wizard who refuses to submit — kill them all!"

Lei Lin swept his gaze across the surroundings.

Although the wizards of these factions still held a numerical advantage, the prolonged battle had already drained a massive amount of their Spiritual Power and mana. They were no match whatsoever for the freshly arrived Nature Alliance wizards.

Not to mention that Lei Lin, a second-tier Wizard, was standing by as an additional pressure.

As time passed, the sounds from the arena grew fainter and fainter, until at last everything sank into complete silence.

"My Lord! What shall we do with these prisoners?" Ilun asked with a bow.

In the direction he indicated, numerous wizards lay sprawled on the ground, their faces haggard and defeated, their bodies covered in wounds and streaks of blood.

"Make them hand over their soul essence and swear an oath of surrender, or just kill them all!"

Lein issued his orders in a calm, flat tone.

Then, he extended a finger toward the eight remaining ice sculptures that had frozen Second Rank Wizards within them.
