The headquarters of the Nature Alliance.
The headquarters had already been repaired—toppled buildings reconstructed, magic formations re-laid, and even the apprentices who had fallen in the earlier battle had been collected and given proper burials.
In several of the buildings, faint yet powerful waves of energy radiated outward like stars encircling the moon, surrounding a central laboratory in a tight cluster.
Whether they were original apprentices of the Nature Alliance or newly joined Wizards, anyone who passed through this area would instinctively lower their footsteps and adopt a respectful posture.
Inside the central laboratory.
Leylin stood beside an experiment table, gazing at the objects arranged on its silver surface, lost in deep thought.
These dozen or so items were all quite small—a green leaf, a red earring, a short brown staff. Even the black crystal that Shuggley had previously offered to Leylin was among them.
The surface of the silver experiment table was made from a special alloy that was not only incredibly hard, but also highly resistant to damage from certain kinds of magical experiments, which was why it was so widely used for this purpose.
At this moment, the gleaming metallic surface faintly reflected Leylin's shifting, uncertain expression.
These items were, naturally, the several high-level Meditation Methods that Leylin had seized by force.
Although the Extreme Dark Region had inherited the ancient Wizards' legacy relatively intact, high-level Meditation Methods were not exactly commonplace. Some minor, insignificant schools possessed only simplified versions improved from incomplete high-level Meditation Methods—versions that barely caught Leylin's eye.
A few other schools, however, possessed Meditation Methods identical to Misty Forest's high-level Meditation Method, though they contained only the first one or two layers. Even with slight modifications, Leylin had recognized them at once.
These schools must have originally been Wizard factions that had split off from Misty Forest.
This was actually not uncommon. Wizards splitting apart over differing philosophies was a perfectly normal occurrence in the Extreme Dark Region, and they could even maintain relatively good relations with their parent schools, forming something like branch organizations.
Therefore, though he had ostensibly destroyed over a dozen schools, what Leylin had actually collected amounted to only six high-level Meditation Methods.
Of course, this rate of prevalence was already countless times higher than in the South Coast, but Leylin's mood was still somewhat poor.
Because among these six high-level Meditation Methods, a full five of them were incomplete!
This was no longer something that could be explained by wartime chaos. It was only through examining these schools' archives that Leylin eventually found a reasonably plausible explanation.
In the ancient era, the transmission of high-level Meditation Methods had not been granted all at once.
Instead, only one or two layers were passed down each time. Once the Wizard had fully mastered them, the next portion would follow in gradual progression.
This served two purposes: first, to preserve the secrecy of advanced transmissions, and second, to prevent these Wizards from growing too eager for quick gains.
However, after all those ancient Wizards perished in the Final War, a major problem arose—the lineage of Meditation Method transmissions was broken! Those high-ranking Wizards had all fallen before passing on the subsequent layers, leaving the Wizards of the Extreme Dark Region with no path forward!
Since Dawn Star Wizards were the minimum threshold for participating in the Final War, the high-level Meditation Methods in the Extreme Dark Region typically consisted of only two or three layers, missing the most critical later portions.
In the ancient era, only Second and Third Level Wizards had just completed their apprenticeship. They naturally did not need to participate in the great war, and thus survived to pass down the Meditation Methods.
But there were still surprises to be found.
Lei Lin reached out and picked up a white, bone-joint-like object from the workbench.
It was actually another tool for storing information, just with rather unusual craftsmanship. The moment Lei Lin connected his Spiritual Power to it, the contents of a high-level Meditation Method appeared before him.
At the beginning of the Meditation Method, a layer of ancient characters materialized, radiating an aura of archaic desolation, with what sounded faintly like the roar of a dragon hidden within.
"Dragon King Divine Power! An exclusive high-level Meditation Method for Dragon-Wizards, divided into four layers: Young Dragon! Juvenile Dragon! Adult Dragon! Ancient Dragon!"
Lei Lin slowly read through the contents of this high-level Meditation Method.
In the ancient era, "Wizard" was merely a collective title for the powerful. Regardless of whether one was of an alien race, the human race, or even a high-energy life form — as long as one could awaken intelligence, possess power, and pursue truth — one could be called a Wizard!
And this Dragon King Divine Power was clearly a high-level Meditation Method designed for cultivation by the dragon race!
"According to the Chip's calculations, along with some practical examples noted in Dragon King Divine Power itself, if a dragon cultivates this high-level Meditation Method, it would accelerate their growth. Their development would be roughly twice as fast as others of the same species, allowing them to enter the adult stage much earlier…"
Lei Lin gently stroked the white bone.
Dragon King Divine Power was part of the Misty Forest's stored collection, but unfortunately, for the Misty Forest — composed entirely of humans — it was nothing more than a display piece.
Because this was fundamentally a high-level Meditation Method for alien races, completely unsuitable for the human body. It wouldn't even work for those warlocks who carried dragon bloodlines!
But after Lei Lin discovered Dragon King Divine Power, he treasured it as if it were a priceless gem.
