Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, Everyone — Plus a Few Days of Update Schedule (Chapters Already Posted)

January 17, 2020 · 2 min read · 398 words

Another Mid-Autumn Festival is here, and I'm still wandering far from home. At least I have relatives and friends here in Chengdu, so it's not the kind of holiday where being away makes you miss everyone twice as much. Of course, late at night when it's quiet, I still think about home a lot — or maybe it's more accurate to say I miss the life I used to have: a carefree childhood, a youth full of laughter and headaches, and a university years where my worldview, outlook on life, and values were all taking shape, with so many vivid details I can still recall. Maybe this just means I'm getting old and starting to look back fondly. There are so many things in life — some I've already forgotten, some I can still remember — and I always feel this urge to write them all down. Maybe someday I'll open a project where I update once or twice a month to get it all out of my system, because I'm worried that if I don't write it down soon, I'll lose those memories entirely, and with them, the proof that that version of my life ever existed.

Anyway, don't let me drag you all into my melancholy. I hope every one of you gets to have a joyful, reunited Mid-Autumn Festival. The mooncakes don't matter — what matters is the feeling of being together with family. And if you're away from home, don't forget to make that phone call.

During the holiday period, updates will be at 12:30 and 7:00. I'm going out to eat with relatives tomorrow, so there will only be two chapters. The day after, I'll try to add an extra chapter to thank you all for your support this month. Honestly, ever since the monthly ticket ranking dropped, my mindset has actually become more peaceful. I'd never been through that before, so I was a bit anxious beforehand. I'll keep telling this story quietly, patiently, and with care. Feel free to toss me a recommendation ticket or a monthly ticket when you get a chance.

One last thing — Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, everyone. Cherish your family and friends!
