Over the past two days, the growth rate of our monthly tickets should rank in the top five across all books, setting another record for this novel — we've surpassed four thousand tickets, and excluding two new releases, we sit at tenth place on the overall leaderboard, just over two hundred votes shy of the true top ten.
Thank you all so much for your support, especially during a stretch of the story where I've been feeling quite anxious. From the moment I conceived this novel's setting, I knew I was setting out on a difficult path. Some of the things I write many readers won't understand or enjoy — they may find it dry and tedious. But having chosen this road, I can only keep walking it, striving to strike a good balance between world-building and making things accessible, interesting, and compelling.
During this period, you've probably noticed me getting stuck on chapters frequently. That's because I keep cutting what shouldn't be there and simplifying what's hard to follow, all in the hopes of winning more readers over. The results may still not be good enough, but I'll keep trying.
Finally, as promised, I'll be releasing three chapters a day for the first three days of September as a way of thanking you all. I'm asking for your guaranteed monthly ticket support — let's not get left behind right out of the gate!
