"Huh? What's happening? I can't move my hand!"
"Me neither! This... does this man know sorcery?"
"No, this is the pressure of the Spirit Realm! Everyone, charge together and kill him!"
"Kill! There are only a few of them, but we have hundreds. Why should we fear him!"
Outside the Medicine Hall, several hundred martial artists swayed unsteadily, yet still shouted their provocations.
Jiang Chen's gaze turned cold. He suddenly activated his Dharma Eyes, and from them shot an Evil Golden Eye, its light piercing through everyone's hearts.
*Swoosh!*
The radiance blazed into the eyes of all the martial artists. The moment their gazes met that light, a shudder ran through their entire bodies, leaving them numb. Then, it felt as if their very souls were frozen by some force. Following that, their whole bodies stiffened. Before long, these warriors had been completely transformed into statues, as if molten bronze and iron had been poured over them, lifelike in their frozen forms.
Jiang Chen waved his hand. "Get inside."
Gouyu and Huang'er exchanged a glance, a hint of shock in their eyes. This was a man truly in a rage.
Such a divine ability—even the mysterious Huang'er was somewhat surprised, momentarily feeling she couldn't quite see through him.
Gouyu was even more astonished.
However, both were worried for Jiang Chen's safety and followed him inside without hesitation.
"Whoever is currently in charge of this Medicine Hall, get out here and face me!"
Jiang Chen's voice, like a spring thunderclap, boomed outward, instantly covering the entirety of the Medicine Hall, inside and out. Its might was overwhelming, rolling on without end.
"Who dares to cause a ruckus in the Medicine Hall?"
"Kill him!"
"Ah! Ah!"
Two voices had just rung out when two figures emitted two screams in succession and tumbled to the ground, clearly struck down by Jiang Chen the moment they spoke.
Jiang Chen raised his hand slightly, his tone indifferent. "I'll count to five. After five counts, anyone still within these halls who does not appear in my sight will be killed without exception!"
"Five!" Jiang Chen began to count down.
"Four!"
"Three!" His voice counted down unhurriedly, yet the powerful pressure continued to spread to every corner of the Medicine Hall.
"Two!"
By the time he reached two, the people inside the hall could no longer bear the suppression of this pressure and emerged from the shadows one by one into the main hall.
They knew full well that if they stubbornly refused to come out, this powerful visitor would surely slaughter everyone in the Medicine Hall, leaving not even a dog or chicken alive.
They were all martial artists, and they could feel the immense fury contained behind this pressure. There was absolutely no way to evade it.
"One!"
Jiang Chen's fingers closed together; he had finished the five-count. His gaze swept coldly over the crowd, lingering on each face.
"You, come out." Jiang Chen pointed at a man in silver robes who seemed to hold a position of some authority.
The man trembled violently, his legs shaking like a sieve. Faced with Jiang Chen's summons, he dared not disobey, though his teeth chattered uncontrollably.
"H-Hello," the silver-robed man stammered, unable to form words properly under Jiang Chen's immense pressure.
"Is this Medicine Hall currently under your command?" Jiang Chen's tone remained flat.
"N-No, it's not," the silver-robed man said, so frightened he nearly lost control of his bowels. "It's... it's Steward Lie who runs things."
"Where is he?" Jiang Chen continued to press.
The silver-robed man's teeth clattered, cold sweat beading on his forehead. Under Jiang Chen's overwhelming pressure, he completely lost his composure. It felt as though there was a force within the young man's eyes that compelled absolute submission.
"He... he's not in the main hall. He shouldn't have come out."
Jiang Chen gave a slight nod, a faint, playful smile touching his lips. His divine sense had already expanded outward, continuing his search.
With Jiang Chen's level of Seven Apertures Spiritual Resonance, the small Medicine Hall could not possibly escape his detection. Soon, he discovered that in the hidden areas of the hall, three people had still not emerged.
Beside him, Huang'er suddenly offered a slight smile, clearly indicating that she had also sensed their presence in that same instant.
"Young Master Jiang, Huang'er has had some past connection with this Medicine Hall. Allow me to lend a hand."
As she spoke, Huang'er spread her hands, and before her appeared an ancient zither.
Her slender, jade-white fingers lightly brushed across the strings, and waves of melody instantly rang out.
The music began as a faint suggestion of killing intent, but before long, it swelled into a raging tidal wave, surging towards three corners of the hall—specifically targeting those three who were hiding and refusing to come out.
This display by Huang'er was merely a small test of her skill, yet even Gouyu couldn't immediately grasp the profound mystery within it.
But Jiang Chen was inwardly astonished. This technique appeared simple, yet it clearly concealed immense complexity. Huang'er could control the direction of the sound waves with such precision—a mastery of force that Jiang Chen admitted he himself could not yet achieve.
Soon, a series of screams echoed from several hidden chambers. Three figures stumbled out, clutching their ears and wailing like ghosts, their appearance so wretched it seemed they might collapse at any moment.
Huang'er smiled faintly, showing restraint and clearly having no intention of stealing the scene. "Young Master Jiang, Huang'er only has this much skill. The rest is up to you."
"Thank you, Miss Huang'er, for your righteous assistance."
It wasn't that Jiang Chen couldn't have forced these three out on his own, but to do it as effortlessly as Huang'er just had was something he currently could not manage.
