His conversation with Jiang Huan had truly been of immense benefit to Jiang Chen. Many of the puzzles from his previous life, many things he had never understood, had been resolved one after another.
Most importantly, Jiang Huan had come from the Grand Origin World, so naturally he knew how to return there.
When Jiang Chen asked about the distance between the two realms, Jiang Huan sighed. "If you were to fly under your own power, traveling from the Grand Origin World would require passing through countless spatial tempests and enduring a journey of certain death before you could possibly arrive here. If you use plane-hopping instead, you would need to make at least nine successive jumps to have any chance of reaching it."
It was such a circuitous route!
Jiang Chen couldn't help but admire his father, the Celestial Emperor. How far and how impossibly complex the arrangements must have been to send him into reincarnation from such a distance, and to ensure that he would be reborn in this very place?
He posed this question to Jiang Huan.
Jiang Huan smiled. "As the saying goes, each has their own strengths. His Majesty's cultivation focused on a very different path from yours. His direction granted him powerful powers of divination. He could glimpse a measure of heavenly secrets, and peer into the trajectory of fate. That is also why His Majesty could be so carefree at times. He knew that the greater course of things would not collapse — that a few minor imperfections in the details meant nothing."
The two sides then made an agreement: once Jiang Chen's cultivation broke through to the ninth level of the Divine Dao, he would immediately set off from the Divine Abyss Continent and depart for the Grand Origin World.
This was an unspoken covenant between Jiang Chen and his father, the Celestial Emperor of his previous life.
Whether or not he would need to refine the myriad heavens and open up a great world of his own, the Grand Origin World was his family's legacy, and it had to be reclaimed.
It had been fallen for so many years. Since the Grand Origin World bore the name Jiang, that legacy must be brought back into their hands.
No matter who the opponent was, no matter who the enemy might be!
The entire Jiang clan was now filled with joyous celebration. The long-lost Jiang You had finally returned to his family's side.
The regret that had lingered in the hearts of Jiang Feng and his wife was finally mended.
Jiang You had spent these recent months traveling outside with Jiang Huan, and the experiences and stories he had gathered gradually tempered what had been a somewhat rebellious heart.
When he learned that his parents and his siblings had exhausted countless efforts searching for him all these years, he was not made of stone — he was deeply moved.
With that, the family was reunited, and the warmth of it was beyond compare.
Jiang Chen was also overjoyed. To find his younger brother and fulfill the wish his parents had carried for so long filled his heart with genuine happiness.
In his previous life, he had been his father's only child, with no brothers or sisters.
But in this life, he had parents, a younger brother and sister, and a wife and children. Every part of his life was so full and happy.
Yet Jiang Chen knew that the happiness of this life was built upon the sacrifice his father had made in the previous one. Because of that, he could not simply settle into this contentment.
He owed his previous life an answer.
The Grand Origin World — he had to go there. Even if the warm nest of the Divine Abyss Continent was deeply tempting, this was a duty from which he could not shrink.
Fortunately, he still needed some years before he could break through to the ninth level of the Divine Dao.
Since tens of thousands of years had already passed, Jiang Huan was in no hurry to press the matter by a few more. He did not urge Jiang Chen, instead allowing him to set his own pace.
Jiang Chen used this time to share in the warmth of his family in this life.
Those happy days slipped by, and several more decades passed.
On this day, Jiang Chen finally sensed the fluctuations of the Heavenly Dao, and his cultivation once again arrived at the threshold of a breakthrough.
The ninth level of the Divine Dao had come knocking at his door.
