Looking at the current situation on Myriad Abyss Island, then, while the demon race kept popping up everywhere, a full-scale invasion had yet to materialize.
At the root of it all, there had to be a reason.
And that reason boiled down to the very points Xia Tianze had summarized.
In Jiang Chen's view, the demon race's reserves and strength were more than sufficient to take Myriad Abyss Island if they committed fully. The fact that they still hadn't done so likely meant they really were laying out some enormous scheme.
But whether or not the demons were scheming, Jiang Chen had no path of retreat.
If the demons were laying plans, so was Jiang Chen.
From Xia Tianze's perspective, he was entirely opposed to the idea of Jiang Chen going to reinforce Myriad Abyss Island. He even believed the island was not worth rescuing at all.
The human domain was, after all, the heart of the human race — the core of the entire Divine Abyss Continent.
As long as the human domain held, the human race still had hope.
Of course, Jiang Chen's thinking was somewhat different from Xia Tianze's. On this issue, he saw the bigger picture.
If they only defended the human domain, it would ultimately be difficult to hold. A buffer zone was essential, and Myriad Abyss Island served as an excellent one.
If the demons intended to attack the human domain through Myriad Abyss Island, then let the island serve as the main battlefield.
The demons were powerful, certainly — the ten great demon lineages each possessed their own distinct strengths. But the demon race was not without weaknesses. At the very least, on Myriad Abyss Island, the demons did not appear nearly as united as one might imagine.
Moreover, the demons were not particularly familiar with Myriad Abyss Island either.
All of this gave Jiang Chen openings to exploit.

If the demons committed their full strength, taking the ten sacred lands would not be difficult at all. That tells us the demons are indeed scheming. But if they're laying plans — aren't we doing the same?"

The human domain today is as solid as a fortress, and as a stronghold, it holds an innate advantage over Myriad Abyss Island."
The human domain was inland, while Myriad Abyss Island sat in the boundless ocean.
In the open seas, barriers were scarce — that was an advantage Myriad Abyss Island simply could not match.
"The human domain may be ideal for defense, but its spiritual energy is thin — that is well known. Surely the current human domain cannot support the establishment of a base against the demon race?" A divine-path cultivator behind God Venerable Kasyapa raised the objection.
That, in truth, was everyone's question.
