"What?!" The various Immortal Zombies were visibly shaken upon hearing Fang Yuan's words.
"You— you— you're full of it!" Bu Dan was burning with rage, humiliated and furious.
Shark Demon narrowed his eyes, looking first at Bu Dan, then at Fang Yuan, his face darkening: "What exactly is going on here?"
Bu Dan's teeth itched with fury. He immediately said: "Lord Shark Demon, I swear on my years of reputation— there was nothing improper about my actions this time."
"That Star Constellation fellow looks like a decent person on the outside!" Bu Dan pointed at Fang Yuan, "but he's actually a petty, narrow-minded man consumed by jealousy. He must have seen me making progress and felt outdone by comparison, so he fabricated these accusations. Lord Shark Demon, esteemed colleagues, please see through his lies."
"I know Star Constellation's abilities better than anyone! If you ask me, you're the one who's petty!" Tai Bai Yun Sheng was furious and immediately shot back with a cold retort.
"Silence, all of you!" Seeing the situation about to spiral out of control, Shark Demon barked sharply and turned to face Fang Yuan. "Star Constellation, what do you have to say?"
Fang Yuan smiled bitterly: "I have nothing to say."
Seeing his attitude, Su Bai Man couldn't help but raise an eyebrow slightly.
But Fang Yuan immediately continued: "However, I do have one question I'd like to ask Lord Bu Dan."
Fang Yuan showed not the slightest hint of anger, carrying himself with perfect composure—a stark contrast to Bu Dan's red-faced, screaming tirade.
Bu Dan, seeing Fang Yuan's demeanor, burned with even greater jealousy and loathing. He let out a cold snort: "What could you possibly want to ask?"
Fang Yuan smiled faintly, staring at Bu Dan, goading him: "If I were to ask you, would you dare answer truthfully?"
Bu Dan gritted his teeth, knowing this was Fang Yuan's provocation tactic, but at this point he had no way to back down. He jutted his neck and shot back: "Ask away!"
Fang Yuan sighed, putting on an air of "I wish to live in peace, but alas, some insist on making trouble": "I only want to ask you— this Ice Rain Frozen Earth battlefield killer move. How many hidden Gu insect locations does it currently have?"
Shark Demon and the others immediately fixed their gazes on Bu Dan.
Bu Dan's heart skipped a beat. He opened his mouth to speak, but in the end only extended his tongue to lick his lips.
Fang Yuan's question was like a sword driven straight into Bu Dan's heart!
Bu Dan had only discovered one hidden Gu insect location. After running his calculations, he found nothing amiss and proceeded to destroy that point.
Now that the Gu insect had just been removed, the battlefield killer move's operation would inevitably exhibit minor flaws that hadn't existed before.
But for Bu Dan to deduce the locations of the remaining hidden Gu insects from this, he would need time.
Bu Dan had naturally considered fabricating an answer, but the next instant he dismissed this foolish idea himself.
Because this was easily verifiable.
You point out a hidden Gu insect location, you destroy it yourself, and let everyone see.
Facts speak louder than any argument.
Bu Dan was rendered speechless, unconsciously clenching his fists.
But soon he composed himself—this was something he couldn't fabricate, so he had no choice but to respond loudly: "You want to learn from me? Fine, I'll oblige. Give me some time to calculate, and I'll come back to instruct you."
The Gu Immortals were all seasoned enough to maintain their composure, their expressions unchanged. But inwardly, they were shaking their heads.
Bu Dan's flustered state was seared into the minds of all the immortals present.
These Gu Immortals were certainly no fools. They could clearly tell that Bu Dan's words lacked any real confidence. Star Constellation had pushed him to the verge of exposing himself.
Tai Bai Yun Sheng looked at Bu Dan with pity, thinking to himself: "And you think you can compete with Fang Yuan?"
Fang Yuan had long anticipated Bu Dan's response. He now laughed heartily: "Lord Bu Dan, you've presumably only calculated a single point. But the Gu insect hidden at that point was actually just a trap. If you had continued your calculations with more patience, you might have discovered additional flaws and deduced more hidden locations. In that case, you might have come to understand just how reckless your actions were."
"Oh?" Bu Dan's mouth twisted into a sneer. He had long prepared his response, and now he immediately pressed Fang Yuan: "Then why don't you tell everyone exactly how my actions were improper? What future consequences could they cause? And what kind of trap was this point, exactly? Ha ha— you'd better answer carefully. Lord Su Bai Man has means of detecting lies."
That point was, of course, not a trap at all.
Fang Yuan naturally couldn't answer that.
But Fang Yuan had long prepared his counter. He smiled lightly: "This Wisdom Path inheritance of mine— my unique methods— how could I possibly reveal them? You're quite the schemer, Bu Dan. Trying to steal my Wisdom Path techniques, are you?"
"Bullshit!" Bu Dan erupted in fury.
Despite Bu Dan's repeated insults, Fang Yuan remained unperturbed. He glanced at Shark Demon the Immortal Zombie.
Shark Demon sat with deep furrows in his brow, merely observing, waiting for the debate between Fang Yuan and Bu Dan to reach its conclusion.
One glance was enough for Fang Yuan to know that Shark Demon still leaned toward Bu Dan.
This was hardly surprising.
Shark Demon and Bu Dan were both members of the Zombie Alliance. Moreover, they had cooperated many times and spent considerable time together.
There was a saying: outsiders cannot come between those who are close. Fang Yuan was meeting Shark Demon for the first time—a mere stranger. Bu Dan, on the other hand, had a much closer relationship with Shark Demon.
Fang Yuan laughed heartily, his expression suddenly turning cold as he looked at Bu Dan with contempt: "Pathetic clown— today, I'll teach you a proper lesson. Watch closely!"
With that, Fang Yuan formed his fingers into a blade and made a series of cutting gestures through the air.
Tiny points of starlight flew from his fingertips, some near, some far, hanging suspended in place.
