Section 126: Wang Xiaoer's Amnesia

October 21, 2017 · 5 min read · 993 words

Beifeng Mountain Range.

In an unremarkable little cave, the four greatest lechers of Central Continent had chosen to rest and regroup here.

East Lecher Chen Yindao, West Slut Yu Baguang, South Pervert Shi Bao, and North Loose Woman Fan Chunyao — all of them were Fourth Transformation cultivators, and quite infamous among the Gu Masters of Central Continent, having ruined the virtue and lives of countless innocent women.

But at this moment, the four men sat in a circle, staring at a unconscious youth lying before them as they conducted their research.

"Why hasn't he woken up yet?"

"All these days he's been sleeping, never eating or drinking, yet still full of vitality."

"Could he be... an Immortal?"

The four Gu Masters discussed among themselves, their subject of discussion being none other than Wang Xiaoer.

Wang Xiaoer had once been an ordinary shepherd boy. Fate had been cruel to him. When the Fang Yuan pursuit battle erupted, its aftershocks had destroyed the mountains where he lived, wiping out every last one of his relatives.

But for some unknown reason, Wang Xiaoer had not only survived, but had fallen into a most peculiar state.

"Think back to when we first found him — all the flowers and grass around him kept blooming and withering endlessly. Perhaps he was one of the Gu Immortals who fought in the battle. After being defeated and falling, his enemies all thought him dead, but he used some method to preserve his life and fell into a deep slumber instead." Yu Baguang indulged in his speculation.

The four of them were far too low-level as Gu Masters; they had never received the battle reports that Heavenly Court had been broadcasting widely through the Treasure Yellow Heaven.

"But if you say he's an Immortal, do Immortals dress like this?" Shi Bao pointed at Wang Xiaoer's clothes, his expression strange.

Wang Xiaoer's clothing was tattered and patched all over, clearly the garb of the lowest dregs of society — the kind of commoners who didn't even qualify to cultivate the Dao of Gu.

Fan Chunyao rubbed his chin. "If only we could search his soul, we'd know the whole truth. But all these days, every soul-searching method we've tried has been completely useless. This is absolutely beyond what any Gu Master can achieve."

The art of soul-searching had been widely disseminated since the Soul Demon Venerable established the Dao of the Soul. It was simply too convenient.

A Demonic Path Gu Master who didn't know how to search souls could hardly call himself a proper practitioner of the Demonic Path.

The four Gu Masters ground their teeth continuously. They had never encountered such a bizarre situation and, for the moment, had no idea what to do.

Eight eyes remained fixed on Wang Xiaoer.

Chen Yindao suddenly spoke up: "Hey, look at how he just lies there motionless — wouldn't it be great if he were a female Immortal?"

The other three exchanged glances.

"Heh heh heh." A moment later, they all laughed in knowing unison.

After another stretch of silence, Shi Bao suddenly gritted his teeth. "Forget it — just staring at him like this will never get us anywhere! I'm making my move."

"What are you going to do?" Fan Chunyao asked.

Shi Bao grinned viciously. "Like this!"

Before his words had even faded, he struck abruptly, activating his offensive Gu Insect and unleashing a beam of red light that shot straight at Wang Xiaoer.

"Have you lost your mind?!" The others were horrified.

But soon, they were drawn entirely by the wondrous spectacle appearing on Wang Xiaoer's body.

Silver threads lit up across Wang Xiaoer's form, easily blocking the red light. The red beam rapidly weakened and, in the blink of an eye, vanished completely.

Shi Bao stood there dumbfounded, and the other three wore the same stunned expressions. They all knew this was Shi Bao's most powerful offensive technique, yet Wang Xiaoer had deflected it with effortless ease.

"Just from his aura, this youth is clearly nothing but an ordinary mortal."

"But even while unconscious, he repelled Shi Bao's attack — even a Fifth Transformation Gu Master would have to defend with full concentration against that."

"If he's not an Immortal, then what could he possibly be? This isn't something a Gu Master could do."

"Wait — his eyelids are moving!!!"

The four were struck with terror, and the cave instantly fell deathly silent.

Wang Xiaoer slowly opened his eyes, his vision still somewhat blurry, his mind hazy and muddled.

He sat up.

Thud, thud, thud, thud — the four Gu Masters dropped to their knees in unison, crying out: "Immortal, spare our lives!"

Wang Xiaoer was startled. "Who are you people? Where am I? Wait — who am I?"

Wang Xiaoer clutched his head in distress, a pained expression appearing on his face.

The four Demonic Path Gu Masters stared at one another, the same thought surfacing simultaneously in their minds.

"Could it be that the Immortal... has lost his memory?!"

Several days later.

In a mountain valley at night, a bonfire blazed brightly.

"Come, have a drink!" Chen Yindao draped an arm around Wang Xiaoer's shoulder and offered him the fine wine he had been hoarding for years.

Wang Xiaoer's face was already flushed red, reeking of alcohol.

He had just taken the wine bowl when Shi Bao, wearing an enormous grin on the other side, pressed a skewer of perfectly roasted, fragrant meat into Wang Xiaoer's hand.

"Here, eat up, little brother." Shi Bao's tone was so cloyingly sweet that he himself wanted to vomit — this villain had never treated anyone so kindly in his life.

Wang Xiaoer was not only ruddy-faced but had also been given new clothes, the material and quality of which were clearly top-notch.

He drank and ate at the same time. "You four brothers are truly good people. Not only did you save me, you treat me so well."
