Recently, quite a few friends have offered me some valuable suggestions.
One person said: Reverend, couldn't you finish writing the main story first, and then add to the Records of Human Ancestor later? Thank you for your suggestion, but in practice it's really difficult to pull off. The main story and the Records of Human Ancestor are complementary to each other. If the main story were finished, it would be like a completed building — trying to stuff a small house (the Records of Human Ancestor) inside it afterward. In the end it would look awkward and ruin the spatial flow and aesthetic of the overall structure.
It's a decent idea, and I'd actually considered it myself long ago. But if I really did it that way, the quality of the Records of Human Ancestor would most likely end up terrible. Because when you're building a house inside an already-finished structure, the room you have to work with is just far too small.
I won't be taking this particular suggestion, but I genuinely thank you all the same.
There was another suggestion, though, that I did take to heart.
A reader friend said: Reverend, why don't you write some side stories during the period when you're planning things out? Those side stories are fun too.
I thought about it, and this suggestion really is great. These side stories still test your worldbuilding and logic, but the difficulty of conceiving and writing them is far, far easier than the main story plus the Records of Human Ancestor.
So today I've released the second chapter of the Legend of Kuang Man. You can find it on Qidian, under Reverend Insanity, in the Related Works section. This side story is a free chapter — I won't be charging anything for it. Consider it my apology gift to everyone during this period.
Additionally, today I've fixed quite a few typos.
Specifically, in the first major arc, chapters 2, 3, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 42, 44, 45, 47, 48, and 50.
For now I've revised up to section 50. In the future I'll continue revising more. I hope that when you all reread, you'll report any errors you spot to me. Thanks!
