It is said that.

Human Ancestor's fourth daughter, Senhai Lunhui, fell from the great tree and failed to keep up with Human Ancestor's steps, becoming trapped within the Ordinary Abyss.

One day, while sleeping, she encountered a little person.

The little person was wailing and crying, so Senhai Lunhui asked why.

The little person said: "I am the largest in our tribe, and because of this I have always been brave, proud, and self-satisfied. Today I intended to climb a mountain, but I never expected that this mountain turned out to be a person. I have never seen someone as enormous as you in my entire life—I couldn't help but burst into tears!"

From that day on, Senhai Lunhui and the little person became inseparable friends, always together.

"Little one, little one, where is your father? Do you have any siblings? Why have I never met your family?" one day Senhai Lunhui asked the little person.

The little person silently led Senhai Lunhui to a well. "Look at this well—inside it is where my home once was."

Senhai Lunhui leaned over the mouth of the well, stuck her head in, and peered inside.

Then she exclaimed: "Wow, there are so many little people!"

She saw that inside the well, countless little people were living together.

They had built innumerable houses, packed tightly side by side. There were markets, flowers and grass—a place brimming with joy and harmony.

The little people at the bottom of the well also cried out in alarm.

"Why has the sky suddenly gone dark? Has night fallen so quickly?"

"There's the sound of thunder, but no rain, and no lightning!"

The little people fell into chaos, chattering and arguing. The entire town buzzed with noise.

"Are any of your family in there? Why did you run outside the well instead of living with them?" Senhai Lunhui asked.

The little person shook his head. "They drove me out. They think I'm a monster."

"Oh? Why is that?" Senhai Lunhui was curious.

The little person answered sadly: "I told them that the world we have lived in for generations is nothing more than a well. That the world outside is vast and boundless. But they didn't believe me. They told me to stop spouting nonsense."

"Then I told them that the mountain beside our town is merely a tiny hillock. But they didn't believe me. They think it is the tallest peak in existence, and they told me to stop spreading rumors."

"Which mountain?" Senhai Lunhui asked.

"That one—Fangcun Mountain." The little person pointed.

Senhai Lunhui giggled. "You call that a mountain? It could fit in the palm of my hand!"

Suddenly, Senhai Lunhui clapped her hands together. "Then let me go tell them the truth."

The little person shook his head ceaselessly. "It won't work."

Senhai Lunhui refused to believe him. She leaned over the mouth of the well and shouted down below. The little people at the bottom grew even more panicked.

They felt that today was far too strange.

Not only had the sky gone dark in an instant, but the rumbling thunder kept on without stopping—growing louder and more frequent.

"The heavens are wrathful! I must repent! I must confess my sins!"

"No, it's a monster—the monster ate the sky, and now it's belching!"

"Save me! This world is going to be destroyed!"

Some little people fell to their knees begging for mercy. Others were filled with despair. Still others ran about in a frenzy.

Senhai Lunhui's breathing reached the bottom of the well, becoming a tremendous gale.

Senhai Lunhui's spittle, when it fell to the bottom of the well, turned into a torrential downpour.

Senhai Lunhui's words, when they reached the little people's ears, became clap after clap of thundering roars that nearly shattered their eardrums.

Senhai Lunhui finally gave up her efforts. She slumped over the mouth of the well, exhausted, and said feebly: "How can these little people be so foolish? Can't they climb out just like you did, to see what the world outside is like?"

The little person sighed and shook his head. "They already think they are great. They believe the sky is round, that the mountain is tall, and that life is simply the way it is."

"Then why did you climb out?" Senhai Lunhui asked, her curious eyes wide.

The little person smiled bitterly. "Because I realized how insignificant I am. And so I was able to see how vast the world truly is."

……

Fang Yuan circled the Marketplace Well once, the sharp gleam in his eyes flickering nonstop.

This was the third Secret Realm of Heaven and Earth he had encountered.

The first two had been Danghun Mountain and Luopo Valley.

Ying Wuxie had set a trap to frame Fang Yuan, and the Marketplace Well was the tool he used. Unfortunately, Fang Yuan had caught him off guard and obtained valuable intelligence from Liu Qingyu. In the end, it was Fang Yuan who turned the Marketplace Well to his own advantage, annihilating a group of Eastern Sea Gu Immortals.

Just as Records of the Human Ancestor described—Senhai Lunhui's breathing became wind, and her spittle became rain. When Fang Yuan stood at the mouth of the well and unleashed his Immortal killer move, the power it delivered at the bottom would be amplified several dozen or even a hundredfold!

However, Fang Yuan did not pay no price.

The Immortal Essence he expended in the process also soared to several dozen or a hundred times the normal amount.

Although Fang Yuan had only unleashed the Great Palm Seal three times in succession, the Immortal Essence consumed was no different from firing the Great Palm Seal a hundred times over.

Those who were unaware—if they fell into the bottom of the Marketplace Well—would be trapped. However, once they understood their situation and realized this was the Marketplace Well, they could immediately break free.

As Records of the Human Ancestor stated, as long as the little person realized their own insignificance and wished to witness the vast world beyond the well, they could climb out of the Marketplace Well.

It could be said that escaping the Marketplace Well was both difficult and easy—it all depended on perspective.
