In the distant sky, four Gu Immortals approached together.
Fang Yuan's expression turned solemn as he watched them unblinkingly.
To be honest, the sight before him somewhat exceeded his expectations.
"How can there be Gu Immortals?" Fang Yuan glanced at the heaven's will and asked.
Unfortunately, this Blessed Land of Hei Fan's heaven's will was dull and ignorant, offering no response whatsoever.
A layer of gloom inevitably settled over Fang Yuan's heart.
In moments, the four Gu Immortals had flown closer, but they did not radiate any hostility.
Fang Yuan remained composed, his guard fully raised.
"Sinner Immortal Chen Chi pays respects to our superior immortal!" The one at the front was an elderly Gu Immortal. He wore a tall ancient crown and a grey-green robe, his hair white as snow. Upon seeing Fang Yuan, he was actually the first to bow, his face solemn.
"Sinner Immortal?" Fang Yuan's heart stirred, and he hurriedly returned the bow. "I hardly deserve the title of 'superior immortal.' My surname is Hei and my given name is Cheng. This time, I was fortunate enough to inherit Hei Fan's true inheritance and enter this Blessed Land. I never expected to have the honor of meeting you fellow immortals."
This time, Fang Yuan had disguised himself as Hei Cheng.
This was a decision he had carefully deliberated.
After all, with the existence of Treasure Yellow Heaven, even though this Blessed Land of Hei Fan was cut off from the outside world, it could still learn of the Hei family's developments.
Although Hei Cheng himself had gone missing and lost the Hei family's Immortal Gu House, none of that prevented him from inheriting Hei Fan's true inheritance.
Most crucially, Fang Yuan possessed all of Hei Cheng's memories, making the disguise impeccable and utterly flawless.
Chen Chi raised his head and looked at Fang Yuan before him, his face filled with admiration.
Hei Cheng had originally been recognized throughout Northern Plains as a strikingly handsome man, refined and elegant, causing countless women to secretly fall for him. At this moment, although Fang Yuan was in disguise, his bearing had always surpassed Hei Cheng's to begin with. Paired with these features, it made him appear even more otherworldly and devastatingly handsome, enough to captivate anyone who laid eyes on him.
Two of the four arriving Gu Immortals were women, and upon seeing Fang Yuan's appearance, their heartbeats inevitably quickened slightly.
The other was a young man of ordinary features.
Chen Chi bowed again: "Superior Immortal Hei Cheng, your bearing is truly radiant. We sinners of the Hei family have waited bitterly for many years, and at last we have the good fortune of your arrival. It truly is the heavens opening their eyes!"
"Fellow Immortal flatters me. You call yourself sinners — what is the meaning of this? I'm afraid I don't quite understand." Fang Yuan frowned and asked directly.
Chen Chi was about to answer when suddenly a voice came from the distance: "It is only natural that the superior immortal does not know! Our ancestors were criminals of the Hei family. Back then, Hei Fan Ancestor's granddaughter, Hei Fengyue, carried the Attitude Gu and traveled freely across the northern ice plains. She was ultimately plotted against by a mysterious Gu Immortal, and several of our Hei family Gu Immortals who were serving as her guards at the time failed in their duty, allowing Hei Fengyue to go missing and the Attitude Gu to be lost."
"Hei Fan Ancestor doted on his granddaughter Hei Fengyue above all else. Unfortunately, despite exhaustive searching at the time, her whereabouts were never found. Several of our ancestors could not earn redemption through merit, so they had no choice but to admit their guilt and accept punishment. They were confined by Hei Fan Ancestor within this Blessed Land of Hei Fan. Our branch of the family settled here, built homes, and has continued to flourish ever since."
"So that's how it is." Fang Yuan now understood, and he carefully examined the newcomers.
Three more Gu Immortals had arrived.
Two men and one woman.
They were Zheng Tuo, Feng Jun, and Zhou Min.
Feng Jun and Zhou Min both radiated the aura of the Sixth Transformation. Fang Yuan's gaze passed over them briefly.
Zheng Tuo flew at the very front, clearly the leader of the three.
He was the one who had just answered Fang Yuan.
His cultivation was at the Seventh Transformation, and he made no effort to conceal it. His features were ordinary, his back slightly hunched, and as he flew, a faint trail of blood was left behind him. He was actually cultivating the Blood Path!
This secretly astonished Fang Yuan.
A Blood Path Gu Immortal appearing openly, and the other Gu Immortals were completely indifferent? It was as if they were already used to it.
"Could it be that this person doesn't primarily cultivate the Blood Path, but merely practices it as a secondary path?"
"Even if it's secondary, it's still something that should be kept in the shadows."
Fang Yuan found it somewhat puzzling.
If this were in the Five Regions, such a Demonic Path Blood Immortal would have been denounced by everyone long ago.
But from the look of things, this person was doing quite well — not only had he faced no suppression whatsoever, he even had two subordinates.
These two subordinates were truly bold, not fearing that their leader might strike them down to bolster his own combat power!
The three immortals flew close and took turns paying respects to Fang Yuan, their attitudes very respectful.
But Fang Yuan saw through everything with perfect clarity, instantly noticing that one of the Gu Immortals, Feng Jun, was insincere in his words, seemingly harboring ill will toward him. He stole glances at Fang Yuan several times, his gaze faintly hostile.
In truth, the others were more or less the same.
Whether it was Chen Chi or the other Gu Immortals, their attitude toward Fang Yuan was both solemn and cautious — projecting goodwill while simultaneously concealing malice. Overall, their behavior was rather peculiar.
After making acquaintances with Fang Yuan, the three immortals also greeted Chen Chi and the other four Gu Immortals.
Their tone was flat, and rather than merging into a single group, they hovered in the sky, clearly divided into two separate factions.
Fang Yuan observed all of this, maintaining a pleasant and conversational demeanor on the surface while committing every detail to memory.
"How many fellow immortals exist in this Blessed Land of Hei Fan?" Fang Yuan thought for a moment and decided to ask directly.
