At the White River City bank vault, Shi Feng hadn't even reached the entrance, but a massive crowd of players had already blocked the doorway.
"Raw materials at a clearance sale! One stack of Frost Grass for only 15 silver, one stack of Flame Flower for 21 silver, first come first served!"
"Urgent sale on Attribute Gems! Tier 1 gems for 7 silver coins, Tier 2 gems for 75 silver coins, buy now while supplies last!"
Right at the entrance, a bunch of people were hawking all sorts of items. They were even selling level 30 Dark Gold equipment. Currently, the mainstream players were only around level 33, pushing 34, with elite players perhaps reaching level 36.
Level 30 Dark Gold equipment was something even the elites of major guilds could only dream of. It rarely appeared on the market, and sellers were usually highly capable small studios. After all, equipment of this caliber wasn't something ordinary teams could obtain.
These small studios made their gold by selling top-tier weapons and gear. Under normal circumstances, they relied on direct Credit Point transactions to sustain operations, unlike major guilds which had corporate backing.
"These items are so cheap! I'll take three Tier 1 Strength gems and one Tier 2 Agility gem."
"Don't cut in line! I want two Tier 2 Strength gems!"
"I'll take three stacks of Flame Flowers!"
The players crowding around were fighting tooth and nail for the goods, lamenting they didn't have more money to buy everything. Among them, besides regular players, merchant players and guild procurement officers were the most numerous.
"Are they crazy?" Shi Feng muttered to himself in shock, seeing the asking prices.
Setting aside the herbs and ores, just the prices of the Attribute Gems were staggering.
Currently, one Tier 1 Attribute Gem on the market cost 9 silver coins, already a bit cheaper than before. Buying at 7 silver meant an easy profit of 2 silver per gem elsewhere, to say nothing of the Tier 2 gems. Their price hadn't dropped; it had actually risen slightly, hovering between 95 silver and 1 gold coin. They were definitely solid currency.
After all, in his previous life, even after advancing to Tier 2 classes, most players still had Tier 1 gems embedded in their gear, striving to afford a full set of Tier 2 gems. Nowadays, the only ones who could equip a full Tier 2 set were either elite guild members or expert big spenders. Other players simply couldn't afford Tier 2 gems, keeping their market price consistently high.
Moreover, many of the herbs and ores being sold were rare varieties, difficult to acquire in bulk under normal conditions. Yet here they were, selling so many.
Shi Feng wondered if some major guild had gone insane to bleed gold like this. Still, this was a rare opportunity, and he had no intention of letting it pass.
He could skip the Attribute Gems – he could get cheaper ones from the Dark Caverns, and he already sold them regularly through the Candlelight Trading Company's shop. But rare herbs and ores were a different story.
There was no shortcut to easily obtain these items; they could only be gathered bit by bit over time. Now, with someone willing to sell them at 20% below market price, not buying them all would be doing the Candlelight Trading Company a disservice.
So Shi Feng got in line to make his purchase.
Typically, individual players bought one or two stacks, while merchant and guild players bought more, though mainly focusing on solid currency items like Attribute Gems. While selling them took time, the profit was substantial – such good opportunities were rare.
"How many rare herbs and rare ores do you have?" When it was Shi Feng's turn, he observed the middle-aged man selling the items. The man's level was low, only in his teens, clearly a dedicated logistics player from a guild – the sort of support personnel that only guilds employed. Yet Shi Feng spotted no guild emblem on the man's gear.
"Don't worry, customer. We have an abundant supply of raw materials. You can have as much as you want." The middle-aged man scanned Shi Feng, clad in a black cloak, and flashed the professional smile of a merchant.
