The moment Shi Feng stepped into the temple, it was as though he had entered an entirely different world.
Birds sang among fragrant flowers, and lush vegetation surrounded him everywhere. It looked like a garden — nothing like a temple at all.
"Fallen Angel!"
Shi Feng immediately spotted the fallen angel within the garden — the very one who had once killed him in a single blow.
Dark wings, a stunningly perfect figure, long slender legs, and skin white as jade with a flawless face. Only the High Priest Xia Lian could compare; every other woman would be completely overshadowed in her presence.
"Human, you sure got here fast." The Fifth-Tier Fallen Angel's emerald-green eyes settled on Shi Feng as she spoke with a playful smile. "You adventurers really are blessed by heaven. You're born with immortal souls. Even for us, finishing you off permanently is no easy task."
Shi Feng recalled the moment the fallen angel had one-shotted him, and his back still tingled with cold sweat.
That near-perfect combat technique — even across the entirety of the Divine Realm, very few players could rival it.
If he hadn't known that the temple only offered rewards and never punishments, he probably would have turned and fled long ago.
"My name is Sailena. Come closer. This time you've come to the World Summit through proper means, so I won't kill you." The fallen angel Sailena beckoned with a wave of her hand, smiling. "Since you've made it here, that proves you have some ability. I'll give you two choices."
"Two choices?" Shi Feng asked curiously.
"They're not so much choices as two different reward methods." Sailena gave a slight nod. "The first is to receive the Dark Bible that has been stored here all along. The second is to pass a small trial — and in that case, you'll not only get the Dark Bible, but these as well."
Sailena raised one hand lightly.
Three rainbow-colored treasure chests materialized in midair.
The first chest contained a large quantity of soul crystals — a rough estimate put the count at well over a hundred. In the Dark Cavern, soul crystals were the foundation of all development. Obtaining over a hundred in a single go would absolutely catapult a shelter's strength by a massive margin.
The second chest held a black stone slab. It felt similar to a Dark Chapter, but the name displayed was Shelter Chapter — an item that could instantly upgrade a shelter by one tier, all the way up to a Large Shelter.
"They even have something this good? Epic-tier rewards really are incredible." Shi Feng grew visibly excited.
Shelters in the Dark Cavern were extremely difficult to upgrade. Beyond requiring a massive number of soul crystals, one also had to complete a series of quests to advance. The manpower and resources involved were staggering. Even the shelters in the First Zone hadn't managed to upgrade to Large Shelters to this day — that told you just how difficult it was. Only shelters backed by major guilds, pooling all the resources under their control, could produce a single Large Shelter.
Now, with the Shelter Chapter in hand, he could instantly upgrade a medium shelter into a large one. For the First Zone shelter that Zero Wing controlled, this was an enormous boost.
But when the third rainbow-colored treasure chest opened, Shi Feng was completely stunned.
