Though Shi Feng had been relentlessly attacking the gray barrier, his attention had never once left Grand Lord Nuo Ya.
High-level bosses in the Divine Realm possessed remarkable intelligence. Pushed into a corner, they could do things no one would expect.
Forcibly interrupting a fission skill would cause massive backlash.
Originally, Grand Lord Nuo Ya still had over three million HP, but the moment she did, her HP plummeted to just over two million, and her physique had visibly weakened.
"This Nuo Ya has completely lost her mind!"
Shi Feng watched the black fissure spreading toward him, cold sweat drenching his back.
This was the Tier 3 forbidden skill Dark Extinction, hailed as the single highest-damage Tier 3 skill in existence. Its power was comparable to the Tier 4 skill Dimension Slash—a terrifying technique that could not be blocked and could only be dodged. However, the immense power of Dark Extinction came with equally severe backlash, leaving the user weakened for a long period afterward.
Shi Feng had never imagined Grand Lord Nuo Ya would be so decisive.
First, she forcibly interrupted the fission skill. Then she unleashed a Tier 3 forbidden skill. She was plainly fighting to the death.
Without a moment's hesitation, Shi Feng activated the Ring of Earth's life-saving skill, Absolute Defense, which granted invincibility for five seconds.
A golden halo enveloped Shi Feng's entire body, and the instant the black fissure struck the golden halo, he was blasted away. The tremendous impact felt like being hit by a truck, sending him flying over twenty yards before crashing deep into the cliff face.
But Grand Lord Nuo Ya's assault was far from over.
Her pitch-black sickle swung again and again, sending wave after wave of black fissures racing toward Shi Feng in the cliff.
Dark Extinction was not a single-hit skill—it could deliver multiple attacks over a sustained period.
More than ten consecutive strikes followed, and the entire cliff face crumbled, reduced to neatly sliced blocks of rubble. The spectacle stunned the players from Zone One in the distance.
This was on an entirely different level from their previous battle. If Nuo Ya had used this move earlier, they would have been wiped out instantly, with no room to resist whatsoever.
"That bastard Nuo Ya was toying with us the whole time!" The leading Elementalist gripped his staff tightly, eyes burning with humiliation.
"Captain, something's strange—Nuo Ya stopped attacking us and started attacking the cliff instead. What's going on?" A level 29 Shield Warrior asked in bewilderment. "Has she gone crazy?"
"She hasn't gone crazy. I used Hawk Eye to check—Nuo Ya is attacking a player, a Swordsman," a Ranger explained.
"What an idiot Swordsman. He tried to make a play for the Dark Chapter while we were fighting Nuo Ya. Did he really think she'd let him walk away with it? If it were that easy, we would have taken it already."
Several members of the team mocked the Swordsman's foolish move.
"Alright, let's get moving. If Nuo Ya comes after us next, we're really done for," the leading Elementalist said.
With that, the group nodded silently and fled toward the valley entrance.
They were actually somewhat grateful for the Swordsman's intervention. After just a brief stretch of fighting, their hundred-person team had been reduced to fewer than sixty. A few more minutes and every last one of them would have died here.
They had barely taken a few steps when the Ranger who had used Hawk Eye suddenly cried out, "Captain Qingshuang, that Swordsman is still alive!"
"Alive? How is that possible? That kind of devastating attack—even a Shield Warrior with Shield Wall active and Protection Blessing applied couldn't survive it. How could a Swordsman make it out?" Captain Qingshuang, the leading Elementalist, refused to believe it.
"It's true. Ask the other Rangers if you don't believe me." The Ranger's face was equally stunned.
The other Rangers were curious too. One after another they activated Hawk Eye, and every single one of them was left gaping in disbelief.
Faced with the shocked reactions of all the Rangers, even Captain Qingshuang had no choice but to accept it.
"Who on earth is that person?" Captain Qingshuang couldn't help but wonder.
A hundred-person team facing that kind of attack could only wait for death—there was simply no way to endure it. Yet a single Swordsman had survived that devastating barrage. In all his memory, no one had ever pulled off anything like that. Not even the top-tier lone players could have done it.
In the ruined cliff face, Shi Feng slowly rose to his feet, pushed aside the massive chunks of rubble, and walked out of the debris. His HP still stood at a full one hundred percent.
