The inventory of equipment came to over twenty thousand pieces, but more than half belonged to Zero Wing's own combatants and had to be returned. After deducting kill bounties and death compensation, there were still over five thousand pieces left over.
Shi Feng had originally assumed that once the battle ended, Zero Wing would net a modest profit at best. After all, nearly all of the guild's ten thousand elite members had been wiped out, with only a few hundred surviving. Even among the first-tier main-force members, only a handful of dozens remained.
Compensating over ten thousand elite and main-force players for their losses was no trivial sum.
Ending up with over five thousand extra pieces of equipment was far beyond anything he had expected.
"This time we owe the Dragon Phoenix Pavilion for having such good gear," Seastar Rose said, practically glowing with delight. "Unlike past battles where even when the losses were light, the spoils we won weren't even enough to distribute."
In previous conflicts, the opposing guilds had generally been poor. The vast majority of their players were ordinary members with very few elites, so naturally the drops were nothing to write home about — Bronze Equipment and Iron-rank gear were considered high-end. But this time, the targets had been Dragon Phoenix Pavilion elites and War Dragon Legion experts. That was a completely different story.
Dragon Phoenix Pavilion elites wore level 20 Iron-rank gear at minimum, with many sporting Mythril-rank equipment and even some pieces of Gold-grade gear. As for the War Dragon Legion members, their equipment was all level 25 — Mythril-rank at the lowest, with Gold-grade pieces making up the majority and a rare few carrying Dark-Gold equipment. The drops were naturally fantastic.
On the current market, a single piece of level 20 Bronze Equipment went for a little over twenty silver coins. Even Iron-rank gear was only around forty silver. But Mythril-rank was something else entirely.
The main reason was that once equipment reached Mythril rank, it became extremely difficult to obtain.
In a standard level 20, six-player Dungeon, even on Hell Difficulty, there was only a chance of a Mythril-rank drop. Only ten-player Hell Difficulty team Dungeons guaranteed Mythril-rank equipment, with an extremely slim chance of a Gold-grade drop.
Most players could only manage ten-player team Dungeons, and very few could clear Hell Difficulty — which was exactly why Mythril-rank equipment was so scarce and its price had shot up accordingly.
The price had jumped from an original forty silver coins to roughly ninety silver, and main-tank equipment commonly went for over one gold coin and twenty silver.
Gold-grade equipment was even more absurd. The minimum asking price was over four gold coins. Only twenty-player Hell Difficulty team Dungeons guaranteed a drop, while twenty-player Hard Difficulty team Dungeons merely had a chance — making Gold-grade equipment far rarer and far pricier.
If level 20 equipment was already like this, level 25 equipment went without saying.
Although a one-tier quality increase was roughly equivalent to five extra levels, a piece of level 25 Mythril-rank gear was actually worth more than level 20 Gold-grade equipment. A single piece could sell for over five gold coins.
Moreover, level 25 Mythril-rank equipment almost never appeared on the open market. It was typically consumed internally, and only through connections could someone possibly acquire one.
As for level 25 Gold-grade equipment, it was currently the absolute pinnacle of gear in the Divine Realm and simply was not for sale at all. Its price sat above fifteen gold coins — though nobody would part with one regardless.
Among the five thousand-plus pieces in Shi Feng's possession, over two thousand were level 20 Iron-rank gear, another two thousand-plus were level 20 Mythril-rank equipment, with the remaining six hundred-plus being level 20 Gold-grade pieces. There were also four hundred-plus pieces of level 25 Mythril-rank gear, over a hundred and fifty pieces of level 25 Gold-grade equipment, and twelve pieces of level 25 Dark-Gold equipment.
Converted to gold coins, the total value exceeded ten thousand gold.
Winning a single battle and earning over ten thousand gold in pure profit — any guild in existence would be over the moon about that. And even with ten thousand gold, you couldn't buy this much equipment on the open market.
For a guild to grow quickly, having expert leaders was important, but the equipment in the guild warehouse was equally critical. The sheer quantity of gear directly determined how many players a guild could support. Now, with this massive infusion of equipment, Zero Wing could take a significant step forward and bring in far more players.
