Although the Tower of Death resembled a fortress teeming with thousands upon thousands of monsters, no party smaller than a hundred could hope to enter it.
But that was precisely what made it such an excellent farming spot.
The ordinary Bloodboil Warriors patrolling below the city wall might look as though their entire bodies were forged from solid steel, but they were all brawn and no brains — melee fighters to a man. With just a few powerful AoE classes in the party, this place was nothing short of a leveling paradise.

For players of the same level, they were easy enough to handle. For Shi Feng at just Level 26, they were a cakewalk as well.
The problem was that Bloodboil Warriors always traveled in packs of over a hundred — and among them was a larger, bulkier figure clad in plate armor, wielding a warblade and a massive shield: the Elite Bloodboil Captain. This captain could grant the Bloodboil Warriors a buff that boosted their attack speed and damage by 30%, making them significantly more troublesome. Facing an entire group of such enhanced warriors ramped up the difficulty by several degrees.

Even a fifty-man raid would have a tough time dealing with it. A twenty-man group would have no choice but to run.
Parties that wanted to farm here typically tried to eliminate the Bloodboil Captain first — sending in a few high-burst Assassins supported by long-range Rangers for a concentrated assault, taking down the captain as quickly as possible. Once the captain was dead, the remaining Bloodboil Warriors would become fish on a cutting board, easily dispatched.
Right now, Shi Feng's level was far too low to charge through the horde of orcs and reach the Bloodboil Captain for a quick kill. That was why he had flown up to the top of the city wall first.
The wall was extremely high. Climbing up was no easy feat, especially for ordinary monsters like the Bloodboil Warriors. They could only make their way up through the single staircase, which was a considerable distance away — running there alone would take quite some time. The Bloodboil Captain, however, was a different story. With its formidable strength, it could scale the wall in just a few moves.
In his previous life, many people had used this exact method to farm orcs for levels.
Now that Shi Feng had the means to do the same, he naturally wanted to give it a try.
First, he positioned himself carefully, switching the Ring of Seven Luminaries from the Wind Ring to the Fire Ring. At the same time, he activated the Ice Blue Demonic Flame, and azure-blue fire erupted across his entire body, blazing with an extraordinary brilliance.
The combined damage of the Fire Ring and the Ice Blue Demonic Flame boosted his output by 60% — equivalent to entering a Berserk state, yet with absolutely no drawbacks or time limit.
He then took out the Blazing Comet and hurled it at one of the Bloodboil Warriors below.
Whoosh!
The Blazing Comet streaked through the air like a burning meteor, striking a Bloodboil Warrior on patrol at the base of the wall in an instant.
A damage figure of -904 floated above the Bloodboil Warrior's head.
Despite the absence of level suppression, a Level 47 monster's defense and attack far surpassed those of monsters in the 20s. Shi Feng currently possessed stats on par with an ordinary Level 40 player at best — the damage he could deal was quite limited.
"Intruder!" The Bloodboil Warrior turned its gaze toward Shi Feng on the city wall and let out a furious roar.
In moments, the entire patrol squad of Bloodboil Warriors spotted him. But the wall was far too high for them to scale directly, so they could only stampede toward the distant staircase leading to the top.
The Bloodboil Captain, however, was another matter. Its knees bent slightly, and it launched itself upward in a powerful leap, reaching halfway up the wall in a single bound. It then drove its warblade into the hard stone, used the blade as a foothold, and vaulted onto the top of the wall. Its thick, muscular arm yanked the chain wound around its vambrace, and the warblade connected to the other end shot back into the captain's grip in an instant.
The entire sequence was executed in a flash, smooth and fluid as water — like a martial arts master scaling walls and rooftops with ease.
Shi Feng, however, felt no particular alarm. An Elite of this caliber, with its intelligence and combat techniques, was no worse than a professional fighter in the real world — in certain respects, even more formidable.
