After killing Wei Wo Du Kuang, Shi Feng turned to face the remaining Dark Star members behind him.
The terror Shi Feng radiated had completely paralyzed what was left of Dark Star's forces.
One man, one sword — a hundred swords silenced.
Over a hundred people had been wiped out in the blink of an eye, and their guild leader, Wei Wo Du Kuang, hadn't even put up a fight. He'd been burned to ash by the demon-like Shi Feng as if it were nothing.
The surviving Dark Star members only needed a single glance from Shi Feng to feel ice crawl down their spines. Their bodies turned heavy as if filled with lead, and every last shred of fighting spirit drained away.
Quite a few players observing from a distance had recorded the whole scene and uploaded it to the official forums immediately. It caused an absolute sensation, and the name Black Flame burned even brighter.
"Run!"
No one knew who shouted it, but every surviving Dark Star member agreed wholeheartedly. In an instant, they scattered in every direction.
With several hundred people fleeing in different directions, even someone as fast as Shi Feng couldn't possibly kill them all. So he focused on the nine Assassins and Rangers who had been protected from the start.
These were the ones carrying the Mechanical Butcher's drop items. Whether he killed the rest or not didn't matter.
"Damn it, why is my luck so terrible!" one fleeing Assassin cried as he watched Shi Feng charge straight at him. His face went deathly pale. Realizing he couldn't dodge, he spun around to make a desperate stand. "Come on then, if you've got the guts!"
But the moment the Assassin turned, the Abyssal — hot as molten lava — pierced clean through his heart. His HP plummeted to zero in an instant, and three items dropped, two of which were from the Mechanical Butcher.
Shi Feng snatched up the Mechanical Butcher's drops and stuffed them into his backpack, then immediately turned and charged at the next target.
By the time Dark Star's people scattered beyond the range of Absolute Time, Shi Feng had already cut down six more. Fifteen items in total dropped from their bodies. As for the remaining three — they had already fled well beyond the range he could pursue.
"Not a bad haul." Shi Feng checked the new drop items in his backpack and smiled with satisfaction.
Including those fifteen, he'd already secured fifty-two drop items — nearly half of everything the Mechanical Butcher had dropped.
Just as Shi Feng was about to turn and leave, he suddenly noticed players from the other guilds all rushing toward him. Every pair of eyes burned with greed, and they were looking at him like a sheep fattened for slaughter.
If Shi Feng had only grabbed three or four drops, they never would have dared come after him.
But the number of drops he'd obtained was staggering.
Greed had completely conquered fear.
Though Shi Feng had demonstrated terrifying power, everyone knew that his burst damage was only temporary. That massive area-of-effect skill that silenced magic would certainly require a long cooldown afterward. That was why they had the nerve to charge in.
Shi Feng knew things had gone bad. He turned and fled.
He had just used Absolute Time. Facing several thousand players, even multiple lives wouldn't be enough.
"Boss Chi Yu, Black Flame is about to run. If he makes it to White River City's safe zone, we'll have a hard time dealing with him. Should we use… that thing now?" a Warlock said.
At that moment, Chi Yu fell silent.
Liu Qianqian suddenly spoke up from the side: "Brother Chi Yu, are we really going to do this?"
Her words caught the rest of the team off guard.
Normally Liu Qianqian was the one most eager to charge in swinging. Hearing her say something like this was strange, to say the least.
"Qianqian, didn't you just say you wanted to teach Black Flame a lesson? What's wrong now? Getting cold feet?" an Assassin on their team joked.
"Tch, who's scared? You looking for a beating, or what? How about the two of us spar when we get back?" Liu Qianqian shot the Assassin a sharp glare.
